During the cats and pies game last night the central umpire went to the VRS to determine if Geelong had kicked a goal or to see if it was touched by a collingwood player.

The umpire asked the goal umpire for his decision. He replied "I have no idea".

My question is what would have he done prior to the VRS. Several times lately they have come up with "inconclusive" and awarded a behind.

There appears to be reluctance to make a positive decision. I think it was better before the introduction of VRS.
