The issue is not about whether a player is an extrovert or introvert. Its about ensuring that the player has character and profile to get the best out of himself as footballer and as a positve contributor to a team.

Talent is relative cheap but the value is have the character and personal capability to harness and use that talent positively and effectively at an AFL level.

Robbie Flower, anyone?

There is a difference in being an introvert or shy off the field and having confidence in your ability on the field. Robbie was baulking and blind turning opponents on the field from his 1st game - never lacked confidence in his ability as a footballer.

Bottom line is - he let his football do the talking.
