I didn't say they were dumb. That was you. I didn't bag them for selling games.

I just said they have become the Tassie Waverley Hawks,,.....nothing to do with Hawthorn. We've survived in our own identity. One day some of our draft picks will turn out to be champions like Franklin, Rioli and Hodge. There's an element of luck in recruiting, and I don't think we've had it for a while. When we do, we'll challenge the Tassie Waverley Hawks as the Melbourne Demons.

So if we could go back 8 or so years and take the deal the hawks got at tassie would you not take it? We'd be a hell of alot stronger and more competitive club financially if we had. The waverley deal!! we moved to casey if you hadn't forgotten, not to mention our style of play as opposed to the HAWKS. We could be the Casey Shared stadium Melbourne Pansies. That would be on par with your name calling. Oh yeh, then we could rely on our luck changing and recruiting players who don't leave our poorly run divided club to play for a souless corporate entity in shitsville. The only time we'll challenge the hawks is when we have the sustained success they have had over a long period of time.

And on the merger. Our supporters voted YES, they voted a resounding NO and told us and the AFL to Jam it where the sun don't shine. Then they faught there way back to the top where they feel they belong.

Get a Grip JJC and open your eyes.

Let's get back to facts, here, Roostit(love your pseudonym!). That vote was completely shonky and was going to be legally challenged(undoubtedly successfully), if the Hawthorn vote got up.

But there was no chance of the Hawthorn vote getting up, since they saw it as a take-over by Melbourne(exactly the same reason as many misguided Melb members voted in favour.) So I've got a grip, Roostit, and I'm glad we're still the Melbourne Demons. We never could, and never would, sell our soul to Tasmania, because we're Melbourne through and through.

Don't accuse ME of name calling. They ARE the Tassie Waverley Hawks. You're the one who mentions the Melbourne "pansies". That sickens me.

Thi is the first time i have pretty much agreed with all Jeff Kennett has said..

What do you think.....Thoughts...

Jeff Kennett on SEN Pt. 1

Jeff Kennett on SEN Part 2

Jeff Kennett on SEN Pt. 3

Crazy people sometimes say sane things. That's what makes them hard to diagnose. The man's a social and political vandal and in a more sane non exploitative society would probably be locked up.

Jeff Kennett has never done anything that didn't advantage Jeff or his wealthy friends.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
