Can't help but think

Featured Replies

You know I often think about what brand of football our team can play when we have a full strength team on the field.

Now for not one minute am I suggesting our players yet to prove themselves will turn out as stars but just imagine....

If we had a power forward....a John Brown or Fevola to kick to

If we had a small well bult power forward.......the likes of Paul Chapman

We had some additional mid-field extractors.....the likes of Shaun Higgins or Andrew Carazzo

With some young players still to make their mark the likes we all talk about (watts, tapscott, blease, gusberts etc...) I suggest this

* We have more than enough first round draft picks to be able to say that the odds are in our favour that we will have at least 2 really strong players and if you add them in to the way we played yesterday I look forward to the future.

I just hope that we play them at the right time as I don't want to mess what up we have going for us, and we all know that we have been here before but have fallen shoer of the mark every time.

all to find their place in yesterday's side

very exciting

There is plenty of talent around the traps.

Time will turn talent into solid players.

Soon other clubs will be saying "If we had a scully, trengove or Watts type we could contend for the flag"

We have those types, they are just not yet ready to rip it up.

With the amount of talent we have on the sidelines, we should be able to start pushing some teams for a WIN when they get back!

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
