I sat watching the footy today with two mates who's priorities in life have changed a fair bit in the last couple of years.

Mine have too, in fact. Marriage, a baby on the way and a mad passion for extreme mountain bike riding.

In the last two years, after every loss, the priorities in our life kept shifting further away from footy and whilst we wouldn't openly discuss it, we felt pretty shit about it.

Today's loss was different. After today's loss we started planning our weekend next week around Sunday.

I never lost faith, but I'm finally starting to believe again.

Yep, maybe I'm just being too emotional....but.... CARN THE F&%$*# DEES! :-)

I'm with you...spoken like a real passionate demon. GO DEES :)

agree 100%

i came into the game knowing we were not going to win.

i believed we could even get smashed because of the way we played last week but then being in the game and losing by one point just made me and every dees fan so devastated.

sounds so stupid but if the ball had of been in collingwoods forward 50 it wouldnt have made it as bad but being in ours and knowing all we had to do is mark it made it worst.

but for once in a very long time its hard to pick out bad things from this game... its just thoughs little things we need to work on.

i just love the fact were so inexperienced and young and collingwood are experienced and a tipped to be in/win the grand final.

says alot for our young men

im with you mate im starting to believe again.

GOOOOOO THE DEESSSSS!!!!!!!!

I signed my son when he was a few days old, he went to his first game last week 2 months old. Poor man slept through the whole thing!

Finks, I'm in the same predicament, Married, new born (future first round demon, look out for Erik Lai), House & a passion for golf. It is going to be hard getting out to the games, especially with the little man. But at least he will see the re build that DB has brought to the MFC.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
