Another example of ill informed media

1. If you think our problem is that we're not fit enough or well prepared enough you're kidding yourself. As the author suggests, we don't have the talent at the moment. If I wanted to be condescending I'd say 'Geelong and St. Kilda etc say 'Hi''.

2. Talk about reading into that line what you want!

3. It's an opinion. Clearly you disagree, but it doesn't follow that the author is ill-informed.

1. I stand by my West Coast call in regards to fitness and preparation. Money talks.

I was addressing the authors claim that fitness and preparation is not a problem (and thus the training extension is unnecessary). You seem to agree that it isn't a problem. I'd contest that, with high numbers of young players, and after a season with massive injury numbers and extended periods away from the game, many of the MFC players are in great need of fitness and preparation sessions this pre-season. Apparently though we can compete with rival clubs without any extra work.

2. Fair enough. Would you, in good faith, factually describe the training programme in place as "slaving away on the training track for almost 10 months" ?

3. Ok. Not sure why the title technicality takes precendence over all else.

What's 'ill informed' about the Sportal argument? I don't agree with his opinion but I don't see where he has his facts wrong.

A balanced an intelligent journalist might seek to speak to the club before offering up this tripe. Of course they didn't and made several glaring errors, thus I'll call it 'ill informed'. Of course that's just my opinion!

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
