2010 jumper?

i came across this at another site and was wondering what anyone thought about it.

http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/rfnews/hi...8257324719.html

Near the end it says,

"Schwab gets the present Melbourne jumper and lays it beside Barassi's jumper from the 1960s. "Look at the difference in the colours." he says. The red in Barassi's guernsey is blood red, the blue is true navy blue — only a hint less severe than black. He describes the red in the present guernsey as "tomato red" and says there's purple in the blue. He's right on both counts. The original is stronger, bolder, more brilliant. "That's what we're going back to," he says."

Any word on our jumper for next year? I think going back to the older style would be a great idea. A sharper point on the 'V' and a darker blue and more blood red, much more threatening.

Also are reebok still making our jumpers next year because i heard that the company that does St.Kilda and Geelong's jumpers are going to be doing ours next year.

One more thing, are we going to use the demon face that was on the clash jumper this year as our official logo in the future?

I'm really not a fan of the current square logo. The said they are bringing back the demon, so where is it?

ummm that article is nearly a year old...............

I realise that, maybe the 2009 jumpers were already designed and been it was too late to change. and i think you have to use the same jumper for a few years, remember we had to get special permission to get rid of the awful silver clash jumper. and if our contract with reebok has in-fact ended, a new jumper could be on the way... Schwab is all about tradition

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
