My information is that he has had a lot to do with the spirit around the place, and he has really galvanised the team during a long, frustrating period. His being on board for another season is good news for all.

    Jimmy McDonald is a champion and plays a brand of football unbecoming of his age, so I'm more than happy for him to stay on for another year. Surprising though, seemed like the perfect time to bow out but still good he is playing on. Adds a little extra credibility for the captaincy as well, rotating captains yearly or having co-captains is a bit of a joke.

    when will Green qualify for the veterans list?

    i'd say Mcdonald will be around till than.

    also gives MFC time to ready the next long term captain, hopefully premiership captain
