Can this be done in the draft to get the 3 player we want?

HI All

Just thinking about the draft and is this possible. Since the debate is now who to take with our second pic,k can this be done.

We choose our 3 top preferred players, X Y Z.

We speak to them all and indicate we want to draft them, X Y and nominate for the national draft and where we take them 1 and 2.

Can we ask player Z to wait and only nominate for the preseason draft where we also have pick 1?

I assume their is some AFL law against this, is that the case?

My understanding that is you can't just nominate for the psd, you nominate for the Nov draft which makes you eligible for the psd. Jurrah was an exception because he was late with his application and the AFL gave him special permission to go into the psd because of his circumstances.

pity :)

Unless you're Liam Jurrah, of coarse.

He missed the dead line to nominate for the national draft and got special consideration to be considered in the PSD, where he was picked up pick 1.

ABSOLUTE MASSSIVE STEAL

If we are talking about Under 18's - then you cannot solely enter the PSD

However, if you have played at an AFL club before - you now have the luxury of choosing to just enter PSD and bypass the November draft (see Chris Johnson).

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
