Wouldn't he want to show loyalty to the club that persisted with him when he was pretty poor, and were going to help in into another contract?) I'm not great on these things so I'd like to hear other positions, but that's a bit dissapointing I'd think.

Also, what's the story with Carroll now that he's on our list at this stage? Do we have any options left (aside from to just not play him)?
