I’d rather Demons die than move: Barassi

Contact Ron Personally before you take this any further. Ronald Dale was part of six Flags at this club. Tread Carefully where you go, maybe you should have delivered the Jumper to the club personally. Involving a 3rd person always makes things a little more blurry....

Good advice WYL

There's a contact section...but going to the website's home page first is worth the trip if your sounds turned up!

I genuinely feel that you do not want to have this dragged through a legal process to establish the jumpers whereabouts, as you have stated, but to come on a public forum, 40 odd years after the event, and paint the picture that you are, can be damaging and upsetting.

Maybe your motive in doing so is to get it into the public domain (media) I don’t know.

I would be curious to know however, what efforts you have made to speak with Ron regarding this, either in person or via the club.

Seems like you've not followed the threads here - this guy is not asking for anything other than the return of the jumper to the footy club. Not any notoriety or personal gain - this would, after all, get a big dollar on ebay.

Read carefully before bagging they guy who raised this issue. There hasn't been a 40 year wait if you read the story - any if you read carefully you will see that attempts have been made to dialogue with the club about this to seemingly no avail. Someone has also suggested that could be stashed in a box somewhere at the club - ( are they for real) .

I can't recall seeing it in the museum.

Something may become a public domain issuewhen legitimate attempts to resolve have fallen through.

What is going on? Is this now 4 people who have joined the forum for this topic?

It is indeed.

Four 'users' joining to cast dispersions on a club legend in a public forum. Someone needs a life.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
