Bailey Plans Changes for Consistency

Featured Replies

Valenti deserves a run. Not sure Buckley's deserves one yet. Bode's the obvious out.

Bartram's form has improved - I thought he was pretty good vs Richmond. Was hard to tell last week, considering I only watched the Fox coverage.

Not sure Frawley's skills are good enough if his primary role is as a rebounding defender - seems to take it easy a little too often when under no pressure, and fails to nail kicks (but that could just be skill level, as opposed to a mental thing).

Garland's too small for JB IMO - Warnock (or Martin) to get first crack.

Poor Martin shouldn't have to play on Brown in his first AFL match. If he gets smashed, it will ruin whatever confidence he's gotten playing well at Sandy (remembering he is new to AFL).

it wouldn't shatter his confidence if he got a bath... even the best backman in the league get dated by J. Brown... stef would see it as a challenge, if he keeps him quiet, then he's beaten one of the best forwards in the leage... if brown kicks a bag, well then he just joins the long list of defenders who he's given a bath... it wouldn't ruin his confidence at all...

B: Whelan Warnock Garland

HB: Wheatley Martin C.Johnson

C: Bruce Dunn McDonald

HF: Bate Miller Green

F: Davey P.Johnson Wonaeamirri

Foll: White McLean Jones

I/C: Buckley Morton Valenti Jamar

Em: Bartram Sylvia Frawley

In : Buckley Martin Morton Valenti

Out: Bode (useless) Bartram (may keep his spot but Buckley has been doing some good stopping jobs lately) Sylvia (continues to do nothing we are better off playing a strong midfielder in Valenti) Frawley (we need a stronger body like Martin).

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
