with the resultant failings of our young Key players over the last 15 years, I'd like to see us return to grounding our young key position players in defence from the start.
Its had plenty of success over the journey, & now we see that after the experience of playing & gaining form down back, both Frawley & even Dunn has grown into players.
Now with self-belief they have both given great service thus far, when thrown up into the forward half.
I've rather us take this approach with our tall Key kids as they ready for their first games.
what could have been with watts having to earn his first games the hardway at VFL, & then play as a defender, responsible for an opponent from the start.
he could have gone forward when strong & confident, & well conditioned in AFL.
starting kids up front in a poor side, can really hurt their development IMO.
