Could it have the pressure applied by the opposition or the ocassion. A few players went missing in the grand final who otherwise had "good years". -

I still hold out hope for Ben Kennedy. -
Chicken....egg.... Essendon players bought in this year.

Who's on your card? I asked for Watts pre peroxide, had Daisy last year. Hogan needs to kick straight before I can have him.

If they haven't bought in yet (after 3 years of Roos) they never will.

Add Grimes to that and we're up around the 1.5 million mark. What a mess when when you look at it that way. -

With the emergence of Hunt and the acquisition of Hibberd and Melksham he knew he was gone, I've got no doubt he was concussed on the first occasion but then it became the new "bad back". -

If he was to find himself off the playing list that doesn't necessarily equate to the club or the AFL washing their hands of him. -

4th of November I received an email from the club out lining current discounts for members. -
Fair call DC, actually wrote that late last night after work but only ended up posting this morning.

I was under the impression (wrongly?) that the 3 equal divisions were based on the ladder positions from the previous year. This would give an improving side that finished the previous season on the ladder anywhere from 9th through to 12th, a chance to push for finals playing teams 7-12 twice. Teams who finished 1-6 had to maintain their form, and teams in the 13-18 bracket have a chance to shoot up the ladder by getting an easier draw. If it's done based on the current years ladder positions there is more incentive to be 7th or 8t after 17 rounds then 5th or 6th. 7th and 8th would have an easier last 5 rounds.

Sone good points, look at North this year.

How much "kicking on goal" practice? Not that it's important or anything, just curious. -
Two things I hate being brought up when a player is being discussed : 1 - He's a great bloke. (This has zero relevance to his abilty as footballer yet is used as some kind of defence) 2 - The poster that has posted what is perceived to be a negative comment than being asked if he has played at the highest level. (No they probably haven't but they may be a specialist in their chosen field, they are still entitled to their opinion)

Aggression is great and something we've lacked but it can only take you so far. Flexibility is the key. -

Fair call BBO, for me it's a bit like the Weed/Pedo scenario. -

Living north of the border I haven't had an opportunity to see Smith play. But from what I've read I'm looking to seeing him when he gets his opportunity. -

With regards to Jetta, if any player is equally as good defensively but can offer more going the other way he takes Jetta's spot. That's not to say I don't like or rate Jetta, but it's about what is best for the team. Whilst I see the role of small forward as a specialist position I can't say the same for that of small defender. To me the next best mid/flanker takes that spot after all other midfield roles are filled. Geelong and Hawthorn have been great at doing this giving their teams great flexibility.
