Canāt argue with that DD. Carry on.

Watts Dropped from Port
Come on fellas, this is a thread about the omission of JW, not about Demonlanders ādroppingā one another.

A Day at the Races
Cool...Best Bets continue. The World Cup will give us plenty of practise with staying up late for the UK races.

A Day at the Races
Going early fellas. Number 2 Religify. TAB Odds: $7.50/$2.50 A work colleague knows the horse well through connections and was told the horse trialled really well last week. Tough on pacer and the tight Ipswich circuit will suit the horse. If the horse can cross without doing too much from the wide barrier it could be very hard for them to catch him. If he does do some work early the horse is still capable of hanging onto a placing. Also happy to have 2 more runs with the trifectas and then hitting the paddock for a while. Do we still continue with the āBest Betsā Macca?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BALIC
Can only go by what I have seen on him at Casey and I canāt see that he will get a game this year unless we have some injuries up forward ( knocks on wood). He seems smart around goals and gets into good positions. Maybe the one year contract is based more on development like you said and easing into our system rather than the club expecting him to play several games in the AFL. Itās only an opinion and certainly wouldnāt be disappointed if he gets a game soon. Hope it works out for him.

A Day at the Races
Iām leaning towards the Eye Liner Stakes Macca. Might seem a trickier race than the other 2 but there are some horses that I think are terrific value.

Watts Dropped from Port
Seriously...do you want a bozo badge? You were one of the most vocal during the trade period with your repetitive posting about how useless he is. I notice you only jump on here with constant negativity. Good for you for feeling vindicated. They guy has left the MFC but you wait for moments like this to gloat. Well done.

The Soccer thread
Cheers. Enjoy it DJ. Hopefully the tournament produces some great contests. Did you try the souvlaki from Plaka during your time over there?

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
Yep, Iām done too.....with this thread! Lewis was the least of our worries yesterday. This is heading down the same path as the thread titled āLewis Broken Handā. Some absolute carp on that and this isnāt far off.

A Day at the Races
āWire to Wireā for Justify @Macca. Way too classy for them in the end although the second placed horse āGronkowskiā chased valiantly. Great effort by the trainer....2 Triple Crowns in the last 4 years.

A Day at the Races
Cheers Macca, Iāll be up nice and early for the boyās soccer so Iāll be tuning in over breakfast. $1.75 fixed for āJustifyā on Tab. Have you seen better odds anywhere else?

A Day at the Races
Haha, Macca. Thatās gold! Oh yeah, the build up in all sports over there is something else. Showtime! I must admit I do enjoy some of their gimmicks, especially the projector shows on the ice in the NHL. Is the Belmont Stakes at 8.46am tomorrow?

A Day at the Races
Haha, Wadda. Mate said the horse had done everything right leading up to today. They werenāt too sure how it would go first-up but it was a very good return in the end. Shows a lot of ability this horse and you would think a win is not too far away.

A Day at the Races
Best Bet: Doomben Race4 No.5 Sedanzer TAB Odds: $2.90 Scone Cup winner two starts ago and a terrific finishing effort last start to place 3rd by less than 2 lengths. Dropping 2.5kg from last run and will carry 6kg less than Ambitious. Could be the difference if the track remains heavy. Stradbroke Trifecta Selection. Number 15 Perast. Odds- $7.00(W) $2.70(P) The horse has definitely found some form with 2 wins in a row. Coming in with a light weight and has to be a decent chance to run a place.

A Day at the Races
No biggie Macca. If the horse does gain a run Iāll be putting a few dollars each way on it at those odds and those races down the straight can throw a few bolters in the placings. A small trifecta or first 4 wouldnāt hurt. Mate is more excited about the horseās future.

A Day at the Races
Another scratching in the race Macca so one more needed for āEl Magnificenceā to gain a start. Mate is very excited about the horseās prospects. āDespatchā holding favouritism currently.

- A Day at the Races
Iām happy with picking 5 horses and placing them our own way Macca. Iāll be studying the form tomorrow night and might even place my selection then due to work on Saturday. If I decide to wait until Saturday morning for selection Iāll make sure I find time early enough to place it.- A Day at the Races
Thereās been one scratching in the El Magnificence race. Now for two more?.- A Day at the Races
Stradbroke is my pick Macca. One of my favourite races on the calendar. Actually, the whole race day is thoroughly enjoyable. DZ would like to announce Dan Zephyr is officially retired. One of mateās other horses and former stablemate to Dan Zephyr has accepted for Flemington on Saturday. Itās the third emergency so hereās hoping for a few scratchings. Flemington Race 9 Number 19 El Magnificence. Odds $26-$34 ( Various ) https://www.racenet.com.au/racing-form-guide/flemington-20180609/ron-taylor-handicap-race-9- All Australian watch
An AFL article today lists players from each club that are in All-Australian contention mid-season. Ours according to Ben Guthrie are, Oliver, Hogan, Gawn, Jetta and this bloke. I tend to agree. Oscar McDonald This might be one from left field but Demons supporters will know how important Oscar McDonald has been this season. Would be top five in the club's best and fairest award, making giant strides in his role as Melbourne's No.1 key defender.- A Day at the Races
Wow, thanks Macca. A 32% increase since 2015, thatās a massive percentage. Great to see they didnāt forget about the little guys with the push to increase money at grass roots level. Iāve been to a few picnic races and had a lot of fun. I remember whilst holidaying at Phillip Island one summer my uncle took us to the Woolamai picnic races and the best part was watching the same horse go around twice on the day. Almost got into the money in both races.- Jake Melksham - the AFL's one on one king!
Heās also a lot smarter than I initially thought. In the lead up to that kick he summed up the situation perfectly. When the ball was coming out of our defensive 50 and prior to receiving the handball from Harmes I noted on the replay he had several looks inboard, assesing options and also allowing himself space from his nearest opponent. What a weapon heās become.- Clarence Oliver
It took me about 4 hours to watch the replay last night. I had to rewind it every time Oliver touched the ball just so I can comprehend what he actually does. We canāt say enough about this kid, except that heās ours. I voted for Jesse as the best young player but whatās higher than exceptional talent?- A Day at the Races
Thanks Wadda. Havenāt looked at scratchings yet. Time to take the green vest off. Mooney Valley Race 2 No.1 William Thomas TAB Odds: $2.40 - A Day at the Races
