as well as Sean Charles for that matter
Sean Charles was good.

Assuming that both Jamar and PJ are fit next year, who do you think will predominantly be Melbourne's second ruckman behind White in 2007?

My wife thinks that Brad Miller looks like Tom Cruise. Hope he's not a Scientologist though.
I have to agree with your wife on that one. I can see it.

I'm not trying to be too critical, it's just that it seems that since 2000 Melbourne have had these two to three year "rebuilding" plans and it feels as though some mediocre performances are being accepted because it's all part of this seemingly never ending development period.
Obviously the MFC is always looking to the future and rightly so, it's just that at times it's as if they are not making the best team for now.
Any thoughts?

According to Pro Stats:
Carroll 191 cm 91kg
Scarlett 194 cm 95kg
Rivers 192cm 92kg
Fletcher 199cm 99kg
Gaspar 192cm 90kg
Nevertheless so long as Rivers and Carroll show the judgement poise and focus they have over the past few months supported by a Holland (198cm 100kgs) and Miller (194cm 96kgs) then I dont think there is a problem at the moment.
According to GFC website:
Scarlett 192cm
According to MFC website:
Carroll 191cm
In terms of Rivers, I was implying that he is tall and wirey, hence a similar "build" to Fletcher / Gaspar.

one concern i have is that neither are actually KPP size. rivers too light, carroll too short ...
Carroll is only one centimetre shorter than Scarlett and Rivers is the same build (if not bigger) than Dustin Fletcher / Gaspar.
They are not problems now and I do not see them being problems in the future.

Couldn't agree more.
Coming into today's game Carroll had conceded only 15 goals in 10 games to his direct opponents (according to the Channel 10 commentators).
Many people though that his form at the end of last year wouldn't last, how wrong they were.

I watch football because I find it entertaining. Watching Melbourne win games (or hopefully a premiership) is just a bonus. Enjoying the football is the best bit. Therefore the idea of seeing the best players in the competition playing with and against each other would be the ultimate in football entertainment.
Injuries are part of football and it is just something that players and supporters have to live with.
