The Importance of Jordan Lewis
We would be 4-1 at a minimum if he played the last three weeks. He takes so much pressure off the likes of Jones, Viney and Vince through his leadership. With Hibberd in the team now this should release Vince back into the middle of the ground, preferably as a tagger who can get his own ball.

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
It's a bit spooky that the number 1 and number 3 picks from that draft both have had concussion issues. Brayshaw is coming from a long way back.

Clarence Oliver
Rubbish.

Clarence Oliver
What I have noticed this year more than ever is that he is always on the move, rarely do you see him flat-footed. I think this is one of the reasons that he is able to get so many quick handpasses off because he is always creating space for himself in tight situations. A lot of our players could learn from this.

Mark Basics [edit: resurrected from 2013]
Again, we still don't get back behind the mark quick enough when in situations where we don't or can't play on from a mark. It is such a simple thing that can easily be fixed with a bit of coaching.

He looked good in the ruck.

Right in my wheelhouse.

Totally agree.

Clarence Oliver
He was very good today, but certainly wasn't the damaging player he was in the first game. At least he still managed to get a lot of the ball after a week of media hype, most of our players struggle after being praised like that.

I don't remember, but I'll claim it.

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
If true, this is why I am forever thankful that St Kilda too McCartin. A rare oversight from the otherwise brilliant Jason Taylor.

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
From every draft there probably is five players that become stars (2003 might be the exception here). This is why I love the Oliver selection so much, in years gone by we would have just taken Parish (who is no Toumpas), but wouldn't have been able to identify genuine freakish talent in Oliver who was outside the square.

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
I wouldn't be surprised at all if he turns out being a not much better than Chris Dawes (albeit a better mark).

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
This is the thing, with top five draft picks you don't just want a "good" player, you need someone special like Petracca and Oliver already are (hopefully Brayshaw follows suit). I mentioned on here early in Toumpas' career that if that draft was done again I'd be surprised if he's get picked up at all, that is a monumental drafting mistake.

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
If St Kilda wanted a key forward they should have selected Peter Wright.

In Jason Taylor we trust!
That handpass to vandenBerg right at the end is something else.

In Jason Taylor we trust!
As soon as I saw his highlights I wanted him, his body shape has changed slightly however!

In Jason Taylor we trust!
Look at their 2012 draft.

Clarence Oliver
I think he wore one in round 1 last year and that's it. A lot of players don't wear them now, silly.

Clarence Oliver
Legend.

Clarence Oliver
I wonder if he would have just as much impact or if the fact that he can come in for short bursts means he has a greater impact in the game.

Clarence Oliver
Can someone please make a GIF of that handpass to Jones who then kicked the goal from his left foot?

Clarence Oliver
Cripps is a physical beast, I think he is underrated by many. I love Oliver, but I'd be shocked if he surpassed Cripps any time soon.

Clarence Oliver
We are witnessing greatness, I am forever grateful to Jason Taylor for taking the risk and not just going for the pre-draft favourite in Parish.

Clarence Oliver
That's the the thing, even if he misses his target the ball is rarely turned over becuase he is able to put the ball to space so well.
