He does because he's a phlog, but in terms of generating news I would say a lot of media want to him to leave. Plus, because he would be leaving Melbourne and we are a soft target so the story would write itself.

Oliver's "physical superiority"? He was fat as a junior and still managed to dominate, imagine how much better he will be when he puts on more muscle.

I can see him playing the first four or five games at Casey to get up to speed before playing a dozen or so games for Melbourne this year.

As someone said earlier, the common trend with most of those players in the photo is they aren't natural competitors. Viney, Kent, Salem, Hogan, T. McDonald, Petracca, Brayshaw, Oliver, vandenBerg, Tyson, N. Jones, Gawn, Stretch, ANB, Jetta and Harmes all are naturally far more competitive.

What I find amazing is that Clayton Oliver stormed into top 3 contention without a single game being played. Therefore, even if Toumpas was touted earlier as a higher pick there's no reason it couldn't change.
