  1. Stand out again Petracca There is definite desire to bring more physicality to our game, hence all the solid contact drills There is also an emphasis on burst speed, in the handball driill they are being encouraged to run and also chase of course Early days but Trac, Salem, Oliver and Brayshaw ssemed to have increased their leg speed, maybe told to Jordon is with the mids if they break up into recognisable grouos
  2. I am not very good at reporting the drills, find it boring Suffice to say most of the drills were similar to those described on Monday They did do yet another weird one where they rolled on the ground and another player jumped over them , then laid on tbe ground etc etc will post a pic, used to do this as part of battle training in the Army 40 years ago Oliver annoys me, minding his own business waiting to join in drill, a loose ball bounces behind him, one handed flicks it over his head, catches and handballs to a player running past all in one motion Had a good chat to a guy leaning on the fence, seemed very knowledgeable, it was Jeff Gieschen
  3. It was actuaaly Fritsch, but I didn't want to set off @DeeSpencer he is fine
  4. Trac took part in grappling drill and buried somebody into the turf, so you can assume he is ok
  5. Actually 8.58 for first group of players Trac is on the track
  6. 1964 was a great year, my Grammar School got new French teacher who thought appropiate to show impressionable little Scousers, French films starring such wonderful actresses as Brigitte Bardot, so they coukd get the hang of conversational French amongst other things, will always remember Monsieur Wilkinson with fondness Beatles Smeatles always prefer the Mexican Los Cucarachas, Juan, Pablo, Jorge and Gringo
  7. Kev, after your holiday visit the Grainger museum at the Uni in Parkville, reckon he was an unacknowledged MFC support coz he was into self flagellation
  8. What you don't realise is to stop training threads being derailed, the reporters have developed a secret code to discuss the training with a select few who have been given the key To obtain this key you must at least attempt to do the following Grow your hair to at least collar length, if unfortunately you are one of those afflicted with early onset balding, you need to shave your head After a few drinks, promise never to sing along hoarsely to 'Working Class Man' with that faux Scotsman Barnes ever again To own at least one shirt that is patterned like the chintz curtains your Gran used to have
  9. I couldn't believe the Pies supporters spitting on the Carlton players as they came down the race @kev martin Liverpudlian remember, not a very high opinion of anything American at all Spike Milligan, Dennis Potter, Tom Stoppard, John Betjeman, Ivor Cutler
  10. Jesus, memory lane, I have the advantage, being born in Liverpool and brought up by Liverpudlian parents First thing you are taught, boomer or not, is not to give a flying [censored] what anyone thinks of you As for the Boom by the players, think that is Neal Bullen again to blame for that and no training and official function, only time I interact with players So for you music lovers Have seen in no particular order Hendrix at the Isle of Wught Beefheart at 4.00am in the morning Pink Floyd doing Dark Side of the Moon including aircraft coming over heads of audience and crashing on stage First Australian gig Angels at Bondi Lifesavers First Melbourne gig, Rose Tattoo, Pete Wells version, Bombay Rock First Aussie Rules game, some Aussie friend, decided as I was used to English soccer crowds, took me to Vic Park to see Collingwood v Carlton in 1978, an eye opener to say the least????
  11. Nah, thankfully or hopefully it's staying, told me??? cool men can carry off mo or beard
  12. No idea what this drill is they mill about walking, then jogging, then running at 90%
  13. Think Nev and Weid are nearly there
  14. One for you @DeeSpencer
  15. Not sure, didn't look too discomforted, like Oliver, assume it will scan and see on Wednesday, never seen him have s shoulder issue per se, so it is not a reinjure On the notes, been there since Roos, it is a sort of running sheet, of drills, who can do what and can't etc The drone fliers and assorted camera men have them also to film what the coaches want and from where Once training starts Burgess is always checking with GPS guys, assume the notes are prepared beforehand with him and the coaches I believe most players are clocking in anywhere between 9 and 11km per training session, standard for AFL these days, ramps up a bit after Xmas
  16. Hannan has had chronic knee issues, so he is building up, he has gone from walking to light jogging AVB is ticking every box, you can see he is building nicely, foot behaving itself Weid, Jetta and Neitschke are starting full contact in rehab, have some pics Petty about a week behind, moving at full pace in straight line and starting the agility work, after one drill, comment from one of the rehab staff 'we have an athlete here' which brought a wry smile from Petty, he is becoming a big solid unit
  17. Wrong, I have attended training for last 7 years, they have been mostly the same, but each coach and 'fitness' guy brings little tweaks and changes, Burgess is doing the running on a Saturday so weekday sessions can be more ball work Attended one or two of Bailey@s and the emphasis was on ball work as well, those seasons went well no?
  18. Incapable of forming a long sentence on your own without whining? @dazzledavey36 to try and provide some balance to the large amount of bollocks that is posted by the so called experts on hear At least the 'persom' who ridiculed Omac at the forum, had the kahunas to do it in public, no matter how ridiculous it was Besides which I can handle the rubbish, sometimes it is like having a battle of wits with unarmed persons though You need to read some of your posts, the level of immaturity in the name calling is glaring
  19. Great report @Duke Don't worry about Brayshaw, always looks like he is about to die at training, but does everything. Only time you see him smile is on walk back to AAMI
  20. Gawn, Fritsch, getting Dunkley, showing Preuss what is required and him noticing, mid and end of season reviews that have freshened up the place, acquiring Burgess and Richardson, poor year financially but not adding to our debt because of foresight by Board and CEO, Lewis on coaching panel, only minimal end of season operations, astute trading of players and picks and we still have a month and bit to go
  21. Appreciate the name check did you
  22. Brilliant 11 out of 10????
  23. They are being ultra cautious given his injury history You will find him in and out of the main group over next few weeks, just has to stay away from Marty Hore
