A Day at the Races
Well i managed to snag 3 quaddie legs yet again with a 4 dollar quaddie. I like to put on small ones as it stops you throwing in every damn horse and doing your homework. I missed on RocknGold, because i dont like Chris Symonds, lost on him too many times....that will teach me. Gee it paid ok ..over 900. The Zephyr really gives you a run for your money.....a lot like the Dees do!! I think the weight beat him. I really dont understand why he carries 59.5? Its not like hes won a heap of races.......

A Day at the Races
Yes, its a strange time of year for sport in general if your not into tennis. I will follow the Zephyr again like the faithful supporter against all odds that i am well trained in being a Dees supporter. You really have to get them to run him in the Red and the Blue D77, and he may just fall over the line! Hopefully Flemington will bring out his best. Keep us up to speed with any late mail. Hopefully its not too hot for the horseys today.

A Day at the Races
Yep spot on. So many times i look at the form for carnivals and wonder where all the horses come from, so many unfamiliar names. Well this time i will have a bit of a heads up. Certainly we have identified some top quality horses, some of whom may go under the radar coming into the Autumn. Its not far away now.

A Day at the Races
Unfortunately i missed the afternoon, but from the results there are some good results there and some spot on tips. Love ya work.

A Day at the Races
To be honest i dont bet much outside of the carnivals. I like to do a bit of margin multi betting on say 4 to 6 matches under or over 39.5pts....So many times the Dees are under 39.5pt winners, so its an easy leg as are Sydney winning many close games. I also recently discovered online stock broking where you can buy shares and login everyday to see if your up or down. Its quite fun and then theres Crypto Currencies which have really caught my eye. I have made some big percentage gains on some of the newer coins lately, but its a whole other conversation really. Still very akin to punting tho Keep the tips coming guys!

A Day at the Races

A Day at the Races
.....um thats a list of Australian Cricket Captains, not sure who the winner would be but the top weight could use a few more runs.....hehe ....and actually, just reading through it, thats quite an amazing list. Looking at you can see what happened when WSC came to be.....BoB Simpson coming back after 10 years, the sheer number of matches the later captains AB and Greg Chappel and Ricky Ponting played. Quite amazing.

A Day at the Races
Winner had no weight, listening to Weir just before the race, he was very confident. The Zeph just looks like he needs a rest, more or less the 6th run of the campaign time to hit the paddock for a well earned rest. The 3rd placegetter 6 duck eggs before this run, just shows its a matter of finding the right track and race

A Day at the Races
He looks relaxed going into the barriers....

A Day at the Races
Go The Zeph......light it up!

A Day at the Races
Whats the inside scoop from trackside at lakeside D77? It certainly is a good betting race, 6 dollars the field. I notice Robert Hickmont has a horse in as well. Its the first time ive ever seen one of his in a 1400m race. Maybe hes got some more license as a trainer since he left the Lloyd Williams camp.....I will certainly put him in a few multiples...

Glad Kitasan Black won, i thought it might. Its a great idea i reckon to get the punters to vote for horses to run in a big race, rather than the big stables dictating everything. Throws some variety in and allows more fan involvement.....it might even increase the gate takings for em. Well done on the Tri, always good to get one no matter how much they pay. You ended the year on a good note. Lets regroup for the Perth Cup. Take care and merry Xmas to all.

A Day at the Races
Damn, i got caught up with a few things and managed to miss the race completely.....results?

A Day at the Races
I missed the race, but saw the results. Looks like the handicapper got that one right! Crazy small dividends.....would be hard to win i guess..... Do you think Bowman can do it? What about the last gasp for Kitazan Black? Quinella perhaps? I also sent you a pm.

A Day at the Races
Im really interested in the Arima Kinen race in Japan. Last race for Kitasan Black before retirement. Only a 5yo, gee do they always retire them that early in Japan?? Should be a great race and with Bowman as the extra interest factor ill be watching on 3.25pm Sunday. Hopefully it will be on racing.com Great article, thanks.

A Day at the Races
Well haha yes we sure are arent we! As i mentioned in an earlier post Macca, the last leg of the said quaddie, i only had 1 horse and it was number 13........and i think i posted something like.... that would be right!......then during the running at the top of the straight he slammed into another horse, clearly interfered causing the other horse to miss its stride and of course it ended up running 2nd by a half neck. It looked open and shut that the protest would be upheld and being number 13 i was ready to put the ticket in the bin right then......but no, somehow it was dismissed!?? Then i remembered in some cultures, 13 is considered a lucky number.....on this occasion it sure was. Oh yeah, the quaddie didnt pay much but i collected 54 for my 4 dollar outlay, so i will take that any day of the week.

A Day at the Races
Well i got the Quaddie with a 4 dollar investment.....so ill take their money.......but strange i got that, but i still managed to screw up the parlays! Crystal Dreamer is a beauty. There was an old surf flick called Crystal Voyager and had some early Pink Floyd music, i used to love it, had the soundtrack for years......think thats why i picked it originally or why it caught my eye....haha. Bad luck on that FF....very very close. Has Bowman got a ride in that Japan race?

A Day at the Races
Tell me you got that ff!? Its paid really well.....

A Day at the Races
Hi D77, thank you indeed, there was a protest of course on the last race. The winner shifted across on the 2nd horse and clearly interfered, and the margin was half a neck. However another horse seemed to push the winner across....so maybe that was why it was dismissed. i was sure being horse 13 it was going to be upheld. But yes i will take it indeed and i wouldnt have got it if i hadnt been following Dan because i dont normally bother with Saturdays outside the main seasons.......so Dans beena winner to me! Cheers

A Day at the Races
Top run. There is no doubt hes a good horse. i thought they would quinella for sure with 100m to go, very unlucky not to run a place. On a lighter note, ive got the first 3 legs of the quaddie with a 4 dollar bet for 33%...ha. only 1 pick in the last the fav. no 13 of course...

A Day at the Races
I really like Silverstream also. Guess you are right, many good runners in this race. Boxed a few up for a trifecta....for the rest ill concentrate on Caulfield and see how we go.
-
A Day at the Races
Yes, i was just saying its an unknown, but the weight advantage is great. There are actually some good races on today at Caulfield. I like Crystal Dreamer in the race after Dans........have put both in my quaddie! I also had a little go at R2 Good Therapy into R6 My Psychiatrist .....couldnt resist.

A Day at the Races
Im sure your "mate" is confident, and probably not without reason......however, it can be a demon (intentional pun) of a track and really seems to suit some horses although Ive never really known why. If hes had a good win there however, that is a good thing. All his other runs may have had various other factors against him. 11/1 is about right i guess, maybe slightly short. Its a good 4, so should suit. Im not totally sold on the jockey, but i really wouldnt know.
