A Day at the Races
Spot on....i like those 2 into Gailo Chop as well.....takes it out to close to 48/1. Seriously good odds for those 3.

A Day at the Races
15.95 for those 2 also. Whats Ace High paying the place Macca?

A Day at the Races
Oh nice homework there...didnt realize that...Steamboat Special then!

A Day at the Races
Nice one Macca, love your work.... had a feeling as soon as i take out Ace High, that stands out a mile. (although Ace High the place is very tempting).....So does Gailo Chop actually. Weight for Age sniper ive been reading and at 3.00 its right up there. Is it 5.50 now? Tab.....i was looking at Racenet.

A Day at the Races
Ok im going early. Ace has drifted out to 15/1. Thats enough to make me think there is something up or they are just putting it in for a run. or they are setting it for the next race......Somebody may also want to take Kentamari ....... I am going with Merchant Navy in the Newmarket R6 Flemington. I like this horse, hes down in the weights good barrier, strike rate 7:5.0.1 Theres a lot of talent n the race, but $5.00 is pretty good and thereabouts for our best. Will need some luck and Redkirk is a big danger. Hopefully the weight might get him across the line.

Nice work.

A Day at the Races
Im all over Merchant Navy......might make it my best....tossing up atm. Have had it in a fridge multi for a while now.....(had Winks at 1.15!) in the same multi...so far so good.

A Day at the Races
Im not worried about the strike rate.....its all in the past! lets go hard and snag a huge multi! Im looking a bit at the distance. Ace has won over 1400, but as a listed race for 2yo, otherwise its 1800. But after 2 runs, albeit with a 3 week spell, it should be fit. Its had 2 starts at 1600, but was in the Heavy going that last autumn.... It brained em in the Spring......Kentamari is good, but it aint Phar Lap........im still pretty keen. I like Redkirk as well.

A Day at the Races
Sorry should have checked the Bible.....Right ok so its 1600....My Sydney mate said it was 2000....thought that was a bit strange.....so why is it paying 11.00? Who is favorite.... Phar Lap?
-
A Day at the Races
Its a bit of a tricky one actually. I thought the race was a mile, but its 2000. Hes had 1 run at 1200 and 1 at 1400. I mean the distance is not a worry, apart from the step up. If hes fit then it should be ok no?

A Day at the Races
Pretty good assessment Macca & D77.Cant really add much. Im sticking with Written By at this stage, great win from the wide gate last start and loves to lead, away from the traffic... But Santos and Sunlight will be right up there....(when has Gai ever told us not to back one of hers!!) haha.......I also normally steer clear of 2yo, but this time around has me fascinated. ....and yeah Oohood will probably run a place !

A Day at the Races
Ok well Ill standby for your Quad strategy Macca ! Well i tell you right now, Ace High will be my best bet for Saturday. Hopefully we can get a good price.

A Day at the Races
One outs are the way to go with Quaddies. I always try and find 2 and often there is at least 1 standout in the group races. At the end of the day, you have to bet on something !

A Day at the Races
Yeah thats pretty much it Macca. The first thing i do is see if i can identify a winner anywhere in the four legs. If i can i usually try and build a quaddie around it. The get out stakes is always a perilous leg, and i usually try and go as wide as possible. You might be onto something there in Sydney though. I noted the short priced fav got up in the last. Will keep it in mind. I always used to do trifectas. I went through an amazing period once and just kept getting them. So i always have a look. Its good to hear what others are doing with the selections.

A Day at the Races
Nice work, what were your winners in the end?
-
A Day at the Races
Not really Macca, i just take it as it comes really. I tend to go skinny in a few legs so that i can go wide in others. Ive had some success finding a 1 out winner and taking many in the other legs. I also had a bit of luck just picking really small quaddies, just 2 and 3 horses in each leg, i think you need to do it on the right sort of day tho. A quaddie is a multi really, just with a mystery collect from a pool rather than straight out math. There were a couple of horses that didnt place and ran 4th like Fell Swoop and Cliffs Edge. They bought a few of my multis unstuck along with Seattle Park. Anyway it just gets better from here. I think we are now 19: 12.4.0 Great work on the videos....Winx was just breathtaking.

A Day at the Races
Nah....its garbage, compared to an F1 race in Europe. Try going to Spa in Belgium for a day, get yourself a good seat.
-
A Day at the Races
Yep, 7 winners right there. Care to Think and Alizee pretty unlucky if you ask me. Even Winx almost blew it. I was off Grunt because of the barrier 16....but it doesnt really matter sometimes in these longer races...in fact i could almost see it as an advantage because the horse tries to get across early and find a good spot.....oh well.

A Day at the Races
Nice win from Dixie Blossoms Macca.
-
A Day at the Races
Misses the start by 4 lengths......some people put massive amounts on her like 100k in one case....you would have had a heart attack at that start!! Amazing win. The quinella paid well, 2.70. Prized Icon was always going to run 2nd.
-
A Day at the Races
Im on Seattle Park here. Boxed in on the fence all the way. Bad luck.
-
A Day at the Races
18: 12.4.0. I thought it was home..... Bad luck....beaten by a random 19/1 shot. Onwards and upwards!
-
A Day at the Races
Into 2.50 now...Egg Tart drifting.. good quinella?
-
A Day at the Races
haha.... I hear ya Macca.....lets hope he just scraps into a place Care to Think comes into 2.80.
-
A Day at the Races
Actually i like Egg Tart in this next race @ Randwick.......a very good place bet i think. distance a tad short, but will be running on. Had something like an eye injury last campaign the trainer has said.....(but they always say that stuff)....pretty sharp before that. Dropping back to a Grp 3 here.
