D77 makes a good point tho....often in trifectas you have the same runner for winner, as coming second and third......so the 3 first picks also are 2nd and 3rd.....is that the way we play it? Then the fourth pick is also 2nd and 3rd. Then the fifth pick is also 2nd and 3rd? That would make 5 picks in total?? Yes it needs tweeking by all of us.

Ok, i hear ya. Ill get in with my pick then......Trapeze Artist over the 1400m distance and in form is pretty up there i reckon. We all know Tom Melbourne will run second anyway....haha.

Ok i see then, i guess thats fair enough unless the 4th pick is the winner !! Im just trying to think out loud a bit to make sure each persons picks are evenly represented. But i cant really see how 4 goes into 3 any other way. Unless we do a first 4 perhaps? Anyway, lets just try it and see how we go, we can adjust things as we go along.

My mates and i used to have 5 or 6 people trying to pick a quaddie....basically we let everyone pick an individual quaddie and then just made the most popular picks the actual quaddie. In other words the horses that got selected more than once ended up making the quaddie and then a few others that only got selected once got thrown in.......seemed to work ok, i think we actually got one.

What if 2 people pick the same horse for 1st?

Ok, but im still not sure i understand. So for example if i were to go first, you want me to pick one horse for the winner lets say. Ok so i pick 1 Trapeze Artist. Then its over to the next person, say you Macca and you pick Brave Smash, then D77 picks Le Romain and Binman picks Hartnell. Then we have 4 to run first? So im not sure i follow.

I think the first four paid 50 bucks and it was pretty much the 3 you would have picked on paper....just box them up.

Ya ya, im fine with that race and configuration. So, do you want each person to put in their own individual trifecta using that combo as a guide and then just select the most popular picks?

My god that race caller....we are blessed with our callers here. That guy should stick to Indy car racing. Im sorry but this horse Gun Runner is not in the same anything as Winxxx. She would brain him. I really love the way Winxxx comes from the back of the field as well....its like ok, ill let you guys get a head start....then ill smash you...haha I do like the best bets. I know weve had a tough run, but it could have easily gone the other way in a lot of those races. I also multi up the place which has proved ok a few weeks. But yes im all for trying something else. Would hurt to do both perhaps? Im easy anyways, whatever suits. It will be getting into winter pretty soon and we might all have to have a spell in the paddock.
