I think part of it is as Daniel cross said, trying too hard to stick to the game plan and not playing off instincts, and there are also alot of instances of players up field not running hard enough to provide and option so the 1st or 2nd kick out of the backline is abit more dangerous than it should be

I'm not sure there backs are up to stopping Hogan, Dawes, Fitzy and Howe if we smash them out of the middle, the scoreline could get as bad as the GWS game.

PJ isn't silly, if he thought it would have any bearing on Roos ability to coach us at 110% he wouidn't allow it,

I agree, it's hard because the four rookies we i have a i reckon have decent upside, i reckon there would have been debate between him and Neville Jetta as to who got re-rookied.

I didn't use the word weapons.. and he played some promising games at casey, i remember him kicking 5 goals from half forward towards the end of the season and alot of posters hoping he'd get a run in the 1's, can completely understand why he was delisted if you're on the list of a team that wins 2 games and don't get a run there is normally a reason for it, but i felt he might have shown enough to be looked at for one more year, even as a rookie

The longer the successor isn't in place the better imo, i reckon he is getting a taste for the job again, wants to win us a flag and go down as one of the greatest coaches of all time.

Thought he had some attributes that were good, a year under George stone and Roosy we could know more about him

I reckon we will beat them by 35 points, i reckon we will be too good out of the middle, which is strange to say, without Steven, Dal Santo, Hayes, Wellar, their depth will be tested, Mcdonald and Chippa should be able to do the job on rewoldt and i reckon Hogan, Dawes and Fitzy will be too much for their defence, reckon Vince, Toumpas and Watts will love the space an inexperienced midfield will give them and drop a few down the forwards throats.

Taggert looked okay at times to me, i understand why we delisted him but i thought he was probably worth one more year, or re-drafting as a rookie

That's true, Neeld was an extremely highly rated assistant so you never know until they are on their own

I think Jesse Hogan will really benefit from either Dawes or Pederson being in the side with him, another hard working forward to take the pressure off him a little bit.

I used to hate listening to Roosy, he was just to bais towards the swans, it's amazing how things change when he is on side.

I tend to agree, we either win by 40 plus points or we lose, losing would be devastating for our confidence, winning would be fantastic and set us up for a much better year, i truly believe by the end of 2014 we will be good enough to match it with all but the top 4 teams consistently, and have a platform to attack finals footy in 2015.

Port were in exactly the same situation and i have heard Alan Richardson was a huge part in turning them around so quickly, having said that we are so much better than we have been

I reckon Luke Shuey will get a huge offer from us at the end of 2015.

I reckon he would be pretty happy if we finished the year with 40,000 members to be completely honest, considering it would be the highest ever membership total in our history as a club.

Only 6 teams had 50,000 members or more last year, we finished mid table coming off close to the worst year in the clubs history with 33,177 win a few games and things will improve significantly and we might get close to 40,000 that's a healthy amount for a smaller victorian club, at the end of last season we finished 6,000 members behind port who played finals and are one of only 2 SA teams

Who cares what Port have, we have 28,000 and are coming off a 2 win season, some supporters aren't going to drive to casey, myself included and that is going to have absolutely no bearing on whether the club survives long term or not, how many W's we put out in the next three years however will.

Sorry but that's a load of s@#$, the club is not dying, and it's certainly not dying because some supporters won't choose to go watch a practice game at casey.

if we make the same errors against the Hawks we will get done by 10 goals plus, will be really interesting to see how we go.

Round 1 is our game to lose in my opinion, really hope Richardson can coach or it's going to be a massive struggle for the Saints to win more than a handful of games.
