If we took Dunstan at pick 9 the entire footy world would have thought Pendo was back, i'm happy to say i think Salem will be a better player very quickly, but that's just my opinion

As Roosy has said this week, the scoreboard, wins and Losses don't matter so much, it's about nailing down the plan, structure and rules of the team, building confidence and re-learning what's required to be an AFL footballer for the best part of 8 years losing has been accepted and honourable losses were almost treated as wins, there is a fair bit of mental scarring that needs to be fixed before we're ever going to move forward, especially blokes like Watts and Trenners who had the weight of the world put on their shoulders far too young.

The compo is the biggest thing for me, we have the backs to cover if Chip leaves i think, but we look like a bottom 2 side just now simply because we have no scoring power, if we finish last, get a PP for another shocking year and lose chip we could potentially end up with Picks 1,2 and 3, imagine the Dom Tyson like trades Roos could work with that.

Terls wouldn't get a run with a top 8 side imo, he is in the best 22 now because he is the best we have but i can't see him playing a huge role when we start to seriously improve

Chip is far more valuable than Dunn. there are alot more blokes like Dunn than blokes like Chip who can consistently beat big forwards.

Because Mitch has a contract with the Melbourne football club, the same as any other employment related contract he has certain entitlements, one is that he is paid even if he is injured. more so that the club has an image to develop, a good way to destroy that would be to refuse to pay Mitch in this situation, i'm also sure the club knows a hell of alot more than either of us do about it, and they are the ones paying him so really it's irrelevant. The thing that really amuses me is that you think you know enough to dictate if Mitch deserves to be paid or not, none of us know anything really, and it's insane to pretend we are in any sort of position to judge the validity of Mitch's situation.

we clearly didn't kick straight or take our opportunities, if we took even half of the easy chances we missed we would have won the game easily.

I've been a fully paid member and donated to the club for a long time now, i have no issue with Mitch taking Personal leave, and i have no issue with him being paid during that time, it's not his fault he is going through the tough time he is, it's not like he simply isn't turning up to training.

I don't think we can kick a winning score agaisnt them, but it's important we defend hard and try and be in the game at 3/4 time, if we can lock a team like this down, even if we lose it will be great for the belief of everyone

Stuie wasn't saying their injuries are similar, he was saying not paying Mitch is setting a precedent that if you are going through tough times you won't be supported by MFC.

Exactly, not having forward targets makes it a nightmare also, we are definitely a better side than in 2013, i reckon we will push alot of teams this year.
