I would argue that the game situation should be a factor, close tight contest, melbourne have an extra rotation and the sub to come in later and a player gets knocked out, now i am certain jones didn't do that on purpose, but his reckless high contact may well have effected the end result, knocked a player out cold and out of the game and it certainly didn't look accidental to me. i would have liked to see 4 weeks, not too upset with 3 but 2 seems a little soft.

in my own defence, Lonegan ( former top 10 mid from a couple of years ago, hard bodied, ready to go) and a first round pick, effectively two top 10 picks for one ) O'rourke, probably not a top 2 pick, but certainly in the top 7 or 8, combined with a pick around 10 i think that deal is no worse than the tyson one, noone predicted tyson would come good this quick some of the others were abit ambitious, but if we traded picks 2 and 3 and got Lonegan, zac clarke and a couple of first round picks i personally would be fairly happy with that, a good ruckman getting close to his prime, a ready to go top 10 mid, and a couple of early picks, another couple of Salems would be handy
