  1. I would like to think, the club would have sat all the players down in a room, Doc reid would have explained to them exactly what they were going to be injected with, told them he had assurances that all of the substances were above board and there would be no lingering health issues associated with them, and explain exactly what benefit they see these injections providing. clearly either none of that has happened or they have lied to the players. either way i'd suggest the club doctor is responsible.
  2. Some more observations kicking out of the backline in general has improved but some of the decision making was shocking at times, Garland tried to switch at one point, turnover goal, then Dunn handballed in the pocket rather than kicked, caused a stoppage, goal. Nathan Jones gave both a good spray afterwards. The Toump is clearly quicker than he was last year and actually looks a little dangerous with ball in hand, he is working really hard to get more involved. Salem looks like he has the potential to be really really good in the back line role, he was playing very well at one point there. Dean kent was the real standout today for me besides maybe Salem and Jones, he has pace, he is tough and knows how to kick multiple goals, i am very optimistic about what he can offer this year, some of the run he provided today was great.
  3. sure, if all of the directions lead to retirement, i reckon he needs a miracle now.
  4. the thing i didn't realise about stretch until today is that he has an inside game, i had him pegged for a really good outside runner but he can win his own ball as well. having said that i'd be extremely surprised if he played round 1, i think Brayshaw is in the same boat, the kids have a bit to learn. Brendan Mcartney is already a massive get, he was hounding Watts today about getting on his bike and getting to more contests, saying that if he lifts his workrate he will go to the next level as a player.
  5. I reckon the toump
  6. Throw in the biggest of all their fish dd jeremey Cameron, kid will have every club chasing hard
  7. Just one game guys and give white some credit he was seriously impressive.
  8. I hope the club has a few dollar sitting under treloar and shiels noses,
  9. and one that i think is very attainable, 4 wins last year, 9 games we were in a very winnable position, add another quality pre season, some new recruits, Hogan to add far more structure and confidence kicking forward and i think some of those games become wins rather than losses. we really need guys like Salem and Toumpas to lock down spots if at all possible though, i love Matt Jones and the way he plays but i really think for us to go forward as a club our young talent needs to overtake those kind of players.
  10. Last year we improved our defence out of sight, and bridged the % gap what's a realistic pass mark for the Melbourne fc in 2015? I would expect the club to finally break out of the bottom 4, 6 wins would be nice, and to show more potency up forward the further emergence and development of the young core we are building of Viney, Hogan, Salem, Toumpas and co hopefully all can lock down best 22 positions this year, and guys like Viney and Tyson can take another step forward. Unearthing a few more players would be great too, i expect Newton to come in and play senior footy right away, i reckon Vandenberg has a bit to like about him too.
  11. Was this right after he started at the club? his improvement in both of those area's from what i have seen has been huge, he looked to me to have seriously trimmed down and picked up his running alot over the pre season.
  12. It will be resolved when ASADA line up, Hird, Dank, EFC, players and anyone else involved and start the executions. the public has them pegged as cheaters, the only way to clear that image is to do the time now, although proving their innocence has never been a priority if it stood in the way of them getting off however they could.
  13. Christian petracca would be spewing he missed the basketball session
  14. Jack Fitzpatrick, needs to play a few games in the seniors this year at the very least or he is probably on his way out i'd say.
  15. i really don't think where the two were taken is a reflection of anything other than the pick 1 race publicly was between petracca and Mccartin so the mfc decided to play along and take Petracca at 2, the same way we will probably never know who their other preferences were
  16. I have heard from multiple people that we rated Brayshaw above Petracca, he had been training with us previously, Roosy has seen a lot of him and i'd be fairly comfortable saying he would have got the nod if we didn't get both picks. not that it really matters, Col is still a dud
  17. He wouldn't get a game. haha
  18. Luke Hodge, Mathew Pavlich, Scott Pendelbury, Jimmy Bartel, Gary Ablett jr, Travis Boak, Andrew Swallow Hodge and Pavlich are the big two, hard, tough, loyal, playing in the right spirit
  19. Howe, Dunn, Trengove, Vince, Goodwin??
  20. Jack Trengove is already as far as i'm aware out of a moon boot, so in theory should be running a little ways down the track, i personally don't think they will risk him this year, even if he is right, but is there any chance he could reach the point of having ticked most of the boxes of being available to play before the year is out?
  21. The fact the spotlight has for the most part avoided Reid absolutely baffles me, surely the club doctor should be front and centre in this situation, if the club didn't acknowledge the handwritten letter that he apparently wrote to the club my next step would have been to make one out to ASADA providing details of what was going on.
  22. Yeah, that sounds familiar, my opinion was based off an article i read so may very well have been totally off the mark.
