  1. If Carlton got a priority pick I think we'd be entitled to ask some very serious questions, Mfc has won 40 games in 8 years not played finals in a decade Carlton played in a semi final two years ago
  2. People saying Nathan jones isn't a natural leader are dead wrong, bloke gives so much of his time trying to help out his teammates, he sets the example in terms of intensity and work ethic every training, every game, and he is getting the absolute best out of himself, everything I hope our young core become, the issue is I think that when we lose we have way to many passengers, it's not always on Nathan jones to turn it around on his own. Time to see jack watts and Jeremy Howe those sorts of blokes start impacting the contest when we're struggling not just looking a million dollars in our wins. Highly depressing that the only two of about four blokes who really had a crack when port were on top had a combined games experience of 17.
  3. That is exactly as roosy highlights the difference between our best and our worst, we need to find a way to be able to try and identify these lapses early or before they happen and re set from there
  4. 6 brayshaw 5 garland 4 grimes 3 hogan 2 cross 1 pedo bear
  5. Moon, he has trouble typing with one hand while looking at pictures of ollie wines..
  6. We need to learn to identify our lapses and work out a way to ideally get our game back up and running or minimise damage We still lack those quality leaders. We desperately need to hang onto garlo
  7. Out: m.jones, bail, Fitz In: Riley, Tyson, Newton
  8. We had port on their knees then gave them a sniff, we are not capable of stopping momentum at the moment and it's killed us a few times this year. It's not a crime to just hang onto the ball when the other team has all the running, but instead we go into the same old habits, bloke stop running to create options so the ball movement slows up, so we lose our potency going forward then hogan and pedo have to go up the ground to try and outnumber them. I think Riley and Newton for matt jones and bail are clear changes, It's all between the ears for us, we could have had the same margin our way if not for some stupid errors right on half time.
  9. Horrendous umpiring, jones just about lost his head then the umpire was five meters away looking right at it.
  10. Tine to reset and get back to what we've done that's dominated most of this game. Three losses in a row will have port nervous if this gets close at the end
  11. Who slipped the umpires a wad of cash, horrendous spell by them
  12. Seriously who gives a [censored] what he did to celebrate a goal?
  13. I think it's just taking the pressure off him, he knows he has the time to get it right now From our point of view, we know he's a talent, a leader and great clubman, he's only 23 and clearly the medical reports on his recovery have been encouraging, it's not a huge investment and it has the potential to provide huge upside. I trust the judgment of those with more informed opinions who have decided to back him
  14. got a feeling today is the day Jeffrey Garlett really gets hold of an opposition
  15. He is too talented to not give the opportunity, imagine if we delisted him and he found top form at another club, demon land would blow up
  16. I think you'll find brayshaw may well be sub as he is so young and never experienced conditions like Alice springs before.
  17. I see what you mean lance, one element of the situation I find hard to believe is the pro Hird agenda, as far as I'm concerned the senior coach of a football club is responsible for everything that happens in the football department, especially when it's James Hird because of his status as a club legend, We've seen a huge injection program undertaken that none knows ( or is telling porkys) what was injected, their are no records to prove the substances were legal or illegal, and more troubling there is no way to know of long term effects, For me this is either cheating, or a catastrophic failure by the football department, even if nothing illegal was given, it's something they should have very detailed records of, the fact the players had to sign waivers speaks volumes imo, the blame should go squarely on Hird and all others in charge of the program and tb4 or not I think the punishment they have received doesn't reflect the level Of failure for just not having correct records.
  18. What is your opinion on the missing records lance? From my point of view it's highly unlikely Essendon wouldn't have had any issue producing records if all was above board, so trying to stay open minded about the situation it's so difficult to comprehend how a professional sporting organisation could have forgotten/lost records of such a program, and The idea ASADA destroyed/lost them is ridiculous, if smoking gun evidence existed of the bombers innocence they'd have made 1,000 copies and given them to anyone who would listen. Not having a go at your view but I am curious to see/hear a well constructed argument from the bombers being innocent angle
  19. The non selection makes sense to me, bail played his role well and Riley was never going to be selected as a defensive forward, and matt jones offers speed Club clearly felt they had enough inside grunt in jones, Viney, Vanders, brayshaw, vince, cross
  20. A line was crossed the moment Essendon couldn't produce records of what they injected their players with, I suspect that alone will be looked at very harshly at CAS
