MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 8

I agree, Neal Bullen has well and truely earned a run and he's a pretty good substitute for Kent -
MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 8

Viney is as lippy as they come on the field haha! I still think Tyson is as good as Josh Kelly on his own, especially given he's in pretty good form at the moment, and Salem is a very solid best 22 walk up start with the talent to be a genuine A grader, i've always been very comfy with that trade! -
They did the same thing with Lynch last year and him basically saying he was coming to the dees caused them to cough up a better deal, the crows will pay what they need to to keep JJ
-
the media circus around Jesse is amazing, his next contract is going to be huge dollars and he'll deserve every cent for having put up with this rubbish.
-
I don't think there will be any issues at all with Kent staying on, i just don't think he's a very good public speaker.
-
Agreed! and i wouldn't be at all surprised if he signed before this season is out, simply because he's clearly hating the speculation.
-
Glen Bartlett was 100% right when he said Paul Roos was the most significant signing the club has had in a long long time, i doubt many other coaches could have done what he's been able to do in such a short space of time.
-
Jesse is one of the more loyal guys you're likely to meet, i would be absolutely shocked if he is talking to Fremantle at all, i have no doubt they'd be chatting to his manager but meeting them in seasons with a year and a half to go on his contract is just crazy.
-
Lucky he's going to stay so it won't matter :D
-
Jesse went home to Perth 5-6 times in season last year like this, it's just how we're managing him.
-
Assuming this is for Prestia right? there is absolutely no way in the world Dom Tyson would agree to a trade out of victoria. the club would know who they're prepared to offer up in order to get someone like Dion to the club, i'm certain Dom isn't once of those players
-
I wouldn't mind Lewis Taylor lining up in red and blue if he decides he wants to move home.
-
H they're being careful because of Concussion as well, so he really just had the session off to try and make sure he's right later in the week.
-
We also bid on Callum Mills, though i'm sure the recruiting department knew that was never going to happen haha

Jack Viney signs huge new 4 year deal.
Ted Lasso replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
So much for that rubbish about him going to Port Adelaide. lol -
Hogan would be crazy to sign a 10 year deal, as others have said the salary caps are getting bigger, in 5 years time he might be worth 2 mil or more a year
-
The interesting thing being at Fremantle, it will all rest on him and Fyfe and Fyfe has a very serious injury that may not recover 100%
-
I suspect we might be a destination club simply because a lot of midfielders don't want to be on the opposite team to Jack Viney

I heard Jack Viney once broke a Nokia phone just by looking at it, can anyone confirm?

it's amazing how out of context my post was taken, as i said my overwhelming preference is to keep Jesse, of course, he is vital. But we don't have the final say, he might leave and it might be totally out of our control, the silver lining if there is any is that we will get significant compensation for him if that does eventuate, will it be the same as keeping him? no. but two top 10 picks and a player potentially does help soften the blow a little bit.
-
Stay or go i am fairly comfortable with where we sit. Obviously overwhelming preference is to keep Jesse, but if he does go imo the opening of negotiations for a trade would be 2 top 10 draft picks and god knows where it would end up, so we'd be well compensated Plus we have Weiderman coming through who is a very good talent.
-
I think Dion Prestia will be a demon in 2017, but i'd much rather Saad! he's exactly what we need, and still has a heap of scope to improve.
-
Pretty much, he's having what i'd consider second year blues and still matching or beating nearly every young key forward in the comp besides Tom Lynch, and he is good enough to be as good or better than him before this year is out if he gets his best footy going
