  1. Another thing to remember is the investment we have made in Jesse is something he's really understanding and respecful of, we gave up picks 3 and 13 for him, flew him back to perth every time he needed to go home, Roosy has visited his family to explain the direction of the club and how much we love having Jesse, we have signed him on an extension well before his contract expired for him to make, and i'm not certain of the figures exactly but next year he's on above 500k per year for a kid who at that stage hadn't played a game. we have put total faith in this kid and Jesse wants to repay that.
  2. my friend has told me a few times that Jesse has said he probably wouldn't go back to Perth at all if not for his family, that there is so much more to do in Melbourne, and he loves being in the home of footy, apparently a lot of his mates are over here now anyways, besides Dom sheed who is an Eagles boy, jaeger up at the Suns and David swallow is up there too
  3. Boyd has shown a quarter of us much and is on a mil a year, hogan is already in our top 5 players off the back of 5 games, imagine another 2-3 years time when he's ooc, could easily be the dominant forward of the Comp
  4. Guarantee that is the sort of offer another side will make if we don't. This kid is that good!
  5. 7 years at 1.2 mil a year, set him up for life financially, he knows we've invested a ton In him so I'm sure he wants to see this through
  6. Fremantle will make a play for Jesse every year, he's just that good. I'm very confident he's a demon at heart now through. And freo are going to be left in tatters by 2017
  7. I feel we should have a very detailed process in determining the partners of our players to maximise the potential of father son prospects.
  8. My best mate, who is good friends with Jesse is very much under my instructions to organise some chance encounters with some of her friends.
  9. Neeld raised our training standards significantly, I truely believe for all he got wrong in that regard he really did lay a platform for roosy.
  10. Educated guess is if we continue to improve Jesse will stay if we are still bottom 4 he will rightly consider his options. Our young core group is really close, roosy is really driving that core to achieve something special together, and by 2017 freo will be without mcpharlane, pav, Sandilands, maybe Mundy, Barlow. Get the sense Ross isn't too worried about the future so I think hogan would be leaving a finals team for a team facing a serious rebuild.
  11. He copped Tahlia in game 3 and rance in game 4 haha hasn't taken long
  12. Simon Goodwin rates the toump, he will not be traded, but he really needs to nail down a spot, his game against the dogs is what I expect from him every week, he is a third year player and it's time to deliver. And personally I think he can, having watched him train up close all off season and seen some of the coaching that he's getting I certainly think his issues are 100% confidence
  13. Batting order looks quite shakey, not too confident that we can beat some of the better teams
  14. I wonder if Essendon are considering recruiting K-hunt as a top up player? common interests and all that.
  15. It deeply pains me to say this picket, but i think you were right on this one, i'm not giving up on young jimmy but my goodness does Ollie look the goods. Anyone got any idea on how to build a time machine? got back and change a few of these draft selections? haha
  16. Both Viney and Tyson didn't have brilliant pre seasons last year so i think they will certainly be much better this year because of the more solid prep they have had, My point was more that Trengove was captain at 19, i thought his form was promising but Wines been very good consistently in a very strong midfield, i reckon he is in a better position to take a leadership title in his stride than Trengove was when he was given it
  17. I think the difference is wines is that good, we put kids with potential in the leadership positions, wines is a genuine gun
  18. Let's keep in mind even Daniel cross said this session was as hard as he's seen, this says far more about the session than the kids, I expect us to run out games far better in 2015
  19. So better to learn off than Nathan Jones and Daniel cross, the standards are set by the old boys
  20. Simon Goodwin would be thrilled with the young group that's forming at the club, should take us over in very good shape
  21. Highly doubt this has anything to do with testing results
  22. Developing under roo while he is there, no players of that type/quality in the next draft, Massive chance we land petracca here
  23. I'd rather have a look at mccartin in training and nab cup before writing him off for round 1 He might well be a saint in any case
  24. I would be annoyed if we picked Wright, happy for him to slide
  25. I agree, i rate level neck in neck with Petracca as the most talented top end player in the draft, i am also a fan of Laverde, he just makes things happen, he perhaps tries too much at times but i see him as a really good AFL mid McCartin and Hogan should set up our forward line for the next decade though
