WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
I’d seriously consider this trade. He’s the gorilla minder, frost can be an offensive weapon and lever third up.
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
Wouldn’t trade him unless he indicated he intended on leaving. this kid is a special talent and you don’t just let them walk out the door. If zones are introduced having three key forwards of that quality might become a huge advantage

Who are our bottom six? And where do they rate?
For me our bottom 6 is a clear measurement of how our team is going to go. When guys like Mitch Hannan play well, we are bloody hard to beat but they can also go completely missing In games
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
What did he say?
-
Andrew Gaff
Yep agreed, he’s an icing on the cake type player for us. I’m sure we will have a look at other options that play a similar role
-
Andrew Gaff
Based on the rumoured $$ on offer for him I’m not surprised
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
Jesse reads the game better than anyone else on our list by a mile. It’s certainly worth trying

Farewell Jesse Hogan
If Fremantle offered pick 7 and say Adam cerra. And hogan was unsure about staying on beyond next year I think it at least is worth a thought. I think he will be a demon long term and it’ll be a non issue but if hogan were genuinely unsure and even likely to leave I think we are In a position where making the move a year early and getting a good return is worth consideration

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I think there is a legitimate question about the direction footy is going about how successful teams with multiple key targets will be. I don’t think losing hogan would be the end of the world. We’d get a lot in return. But I also don’t think we will lose him.
- Are we ready? Rory Sloane

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I reckon lever gets the number 9

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
This kid is 100% worth it. He’s a proven performer and a leader who at 21 should be an A grader and around the mark of all Australian for us for a decade. Draft picks are always a bit of a gamble and we are the only ones who walk away from this deal with proven value.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I don’t mind the deal. Effectively 10,12 and a fourth rounder for lever ( a proven nearly all Australian standard defender at 21) pick 35 and probably around 50. Given all draft picks carry risk I don’t think it’s correct to assume they’ll be a star. I think this is very much a win-win deal

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I don’t mind the deal for two picks if we get one back. Not really a believer in the super draft idea.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
That’s a very good deal if we can swing that.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
On top of aggressively chasing a contracted Bryce Gibbs, Steven Motlop and others. Tex has a loose grasp of reality. Especially considering he’s on a mint himself
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
The crows need to have a talk to tex because this is getting stupid. The crows haven’t achieved anything yet and we are improving consistently every year and loaded with top end talent. If we don’t overtake the crows in 2018 we definitely will in 2019 jake will have just as much chance if a flag with us in the next three years as at the crows. Tex has made himself look silly
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Is t just me or does it seem like the crows as a club have totally lost the plot?
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
After seeing this, who would want to play for or stay at Adelaide? I genuinely hope this little display costs them Rory Sloane next year
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Yeah, he slid quite a long way from where he was expected to drafted if I remember correctly
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Just cracked it over the grand final loss and the whole club seems to have lost the plot. You saw in texs speech after the game that he isn’t a great loser.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Far less than what he was being offered at other clubs... and he’s absolutely worth that
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Before his extension. Now about 850k
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I can 100% tell you that jakes offer does not make him the highest paid player at the club. Jesse hogan is our highest paid player, Nathan jones not far behind both ahead of our offer for lever.
