  1. Annoying to find Telstra App not working for anyone, thought it was just me! Three goals to Watts is easing this frustration!! I'm streaming via ABC radio through Telstra app, White sounds like he's having a blinder!!
  2. Very strong team!! Gives hope for the future. Moves beyond the inconsistent and questionable efforts of Dawes, Howe, Toumpas. And places great faith in the future built on Viney, Salem, Hogan, Brayshaw, Petracca, Watts. I'm going to keep any eye out for the first time this 17 group of players take to the field together, and no doubt will be pleased with the scoreboard result at the final siren. There is some serious talent on our list, and serious reason to be excited for 2016 and beyond!!
  3. I don't know if you're told enough, but The Song, your impeccable use of GIFs is becoming an art form to behold & marvel!!!
  4. Watts - third man up! Brayshaw - a tackling machine Toumpas - best game yet Hogan - enter the Dragon!
  5. We've called him The Fridge for a couple of seasons now because his physical impact in contests. He is now worth his weight in gold for the inspiration, goal return & marking efficiency. We are re-christening him The Golden Fridge!!
  6. I'd keep Watts, Pederson, Cross & Michie. If also add Dawes to the list to go.
  7. Personally, love this team on paper, bring on round 1!!!
  8. I thought hard about it, but not for me. As tall as he is, once the ball hits the ground he loses impact. I think Spencer (and even Fitzpatrick) are more athletic. Likely this will be Jamar's final season, so in 2017 Gawn/Spencer will be my premier two (providing big Max's knee hold up).
  9. Demons 2015 FB: Jetta Frost Garland (Grimes*) HB: Dunn McDonald Lumumba C: Kent (Bail*) Viney (Vince*) Salem (Toumpas*) HF: Watts Dawes Pederson FF: Howe Hogan Garlett (JKH*) Foll: Jamar (Spencer*) Jones Tyson (Cross*) Int: Vince, Cross, Spencer Emerg: Bail, Grimes, JKH, Toumpas Future: Trengove, Stretch, Barry, ND2, ND3
  10. Thanks for the update Redleg. In my opinion footy is about talent, timing and luck. As we've learnt from Trengove and Clark, not having luck (i.e. succumbing to career-threatening injuries) can be devastating. Lever sounds like a fantastic bloke; underage captain, helping out with coaching while recovering, and dealing with injuries at an early age. Reminds me of a young No 1 draft pick we lost to GWS. When we consider some of the issues we've so far faced trying to get another No 1 pick on the field (i.e. Hogan's back and knee), I'd be very reluctant to go near a young player that has already missed a year to injury.
  11. I'm liking this team without Garland, Grimes or Frawley!! Can already imagine us starting to hit targets again.
  12. I wonder if Roos has considered the challenge of overseeing a Jurrah return to Melbourne. I think second chances and succeeding against enormous odds, as well as drawing on some deep MFC origins, all in a player only 25 years, would raise his interest.
  13. Maybe Colonel Garland or Captain Grimes. They're very good at punching the ground when they make mistakes, and they also get a lot of practice!
  14. Speaking of our need for better users off half back, does anyone know how long Garland & Grimes have on their contracts?
  15. Can just imagine how the college girls and Demon draftees would be all smiles about this!! Personally, I think that AAMI park (Gosch's paddock) is perfect. Close to the Tan for running, ready made training facilities (shared with Victory and Storm), easy to get to for the public, and within the shadow of the mighty MCG. Given Melbourne has recently moved from Junction oval (St Kilda), is training once per week in an emerging distant suburb (Casey), and has only been in its current HQ for about 5 years, I'd see further plans of moving as unnecessarily unsettling. My two bobs.
  16. He perfectly complements Brigadeer Dunn, Colonel Garland & Major MacDonald in the back line. Let's hope Captain Jack lifts and shoulders his part in the defensive structure!
