  1. Now our win over a Collingwood is an aberration? Your negativity is off the charts today.
  2. Are you not a Spargo fan? I wasn’t aware. 🙄
  3. I thought we were wasteful and lacked connection. How anyone could watch the 2nd and 3rd quarter of that game and say it was ‘lacklustre’ and ‘inept’ is watching such a different game to me. We battled our hearts out, we just didn’t finish our work off when we had total control.
  4. I’ve wondered this too. Kenny needs wins, but 28 weeks of football is a long time to be up.
  5. Not me WCW! I was nowhere near good enough 🤣
  6. Lots of criticism of the players for not doing the little things right, not much criticism of the club for making our season harder and playing a home game in Alice this week. This season will be defined by the little things. Why travel when we don’t have to, especially when we haven’t traveled well all year? Brisbane, Essendon, Port, Geelong away losses. Why are we risking this again?
  7. Dazzle, who legitimately is playing better at Casey though? I’ve watched all their games this year and aside from Howes, Disco and Woewodin I don’t reckon there’s much there. Howes and Turner aren’t better players than our current backline. We seem to be light on for outside skill.
  8. Wet weather ain’t the issue. Forward centre conversion and reward for effort is. We dominated the 2nd and 3rd quarter but had to work impossibly hard to score. If that sounds familiar it’s because it was an issue in 2017, 18, 19, 20, half of 21, 22 and now 23. We are tired, because we don’t get anywhere near enough reward for effort.
  9. While I agree with this I really think they’ll chalk it up to ‘hard ground to get space at, we looked better in The G’ and not much will change.
  10. This one made me swear at the TV…. https://twitter.com/outbreezyWC/status/1671835632514256896?cxt=HHwWgMDS7czpxrMuAAAA
  11. Is there a way I can find that footage of our centre square free kick in the last where they refused to give the ball back and then when they did they threw it passed Viney? That was laughably bad umpiring.
  12. Currently we are a 5-8 team. We can scrap and fight to stay in the contest, and on our day take a big scalp, but consistently we lack skill forward of the ball. The good news is we have one too many running half backs. Hopefully Bowser or McVee can move up the ground over the preseason and help with executing that last kick forward.
  13. Fine by me. There will be 25,000 Melbourne supporters there, who can give our boys some momentum and belief. They aren’t getting that playing in front of 5,000 impartial footy fans in Port and Adelaide jumpers in Alice.
  14. If I was the president I’d be asking our football department what experienced forward line coach we need to bring in. Things have to change in the footy department I think. Our forward line connection has been a problem in 4 of the last 5 seasons - yet we have one of the best midfields. We need someone who values skill and forward craft, as it’ll put pressure on the rest of the football department to buy into the value of execution. We have to compete way too hard to score.
  15. Isn’t every one just thrilled that we gave up a home game to travel interstate? Geelong got momentum from their crowd and played to their strengths at home. We gave this game up. I absolutely hate it. Melbourne homes games at the G only. If we want to be taken seriously start acting that way.
  16. Yep, and I think it gets lost but the Hawks and Tigers eras came off the back of heavily compromised drafts periods. This is what the AFL wants.
  17. This. We have to work far too hard to score.
  18. This is all about them getting their tales up at home - in front of their fans. Why do we sell home games and force ourselves to travel? This season is about the smallest details. I’ll be telling the club.
  19. THIs is WHY YOU PLAYE HOME GAMES AT YOUR Home GROUnd. I bet you no one give a [censored] about the community in Alice Spings now.
  20. That advantage was a joke
  21. Grundy and Smith have both been fantastic.
