Delistings/trades at end of the season
Could losing both Howe and Garland give us a pick after our first rounder in return? I can't remember if compensation stacks or if we would just get 2 2nd rounders?

Delistings/trades at end of the season
It isn't a bash, it is what it is. This is a a thread about trades and Toumpas is a name which i think should be right up their with the names on the list. Players either have it or they don't and it doesn't take long to see it. Brayshaw has it, Stretch has it, Hogan has it....all first year players and it is obvious. Toumpas does not have it. 3rd year player. Stretch is already doing the role which we got Toumpas for without all of the clangers and leaving his man to kick winning goals.

Meanwhile Ollie Wines getting BOGs while Jimmy is struggling in the VFL We would be lucky to get a 3rd rounder for Jimmy right now, his hips are hung and he runs around like a headless chook and doesn't check his man at contests.

I can see where se dee luded is coming from regarding trading Gawn. He is out of contract and with his current form could hold us to ransom which could cripple our chances to secure more miss. We have Spencer Jamar and Pederson who can all ruck still on our list and I am sure they would al fill the void fine if Gawn is traded

I actually hope we hold onto Howe and even try give him a spell in the midfield. I beleive he can be a really damaging big bodied mid if used correctly. To find utilities as good as Howe with the skill set he has is tough. We have some depth in terms of talls at the moment due to having players like Howe/Watts on our list. If we end up recruiting more midfielders at the expense of talls and we have a few go down injured early next year it could impact our team. It has happened before and now we have good depth in talls I want us to try to retain it.

http://www.afl.com.au/draft/blog Comment in this that suggests Brisbane expect a top 12 pick back for Aish. Our 2nd rounder + Howe would definitely get it over the line.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Alot depends on the position players are played. Most players on-ball a majority of the game should get 25+ touches. We see it in the VFL every week with players like Michie, Bail, Riley, M Jones ect getting huge numbers. Issue is when they come into the 1sts they are played in a pocket on the flank and suddenly their status/output dont look as impressive, especially with the [censored] disposal I think what we should really be targetting are players who can use those 25 posessions as damaging as possible as that is our biggest let down now. Players like Toumpas come in get big numbers but at the same time cause alot of turn-overs/clangers/bombs. I havn't seen Prestia play much to be honest but i am hoping he is the compose smart type of player which we desperately need. Richmond do well because they move their A graders between the Flanks and pockets more which gives them extra class all over the ground while ours seem to spend majority of the game in the center. Being a clearance king alone relies alot on the ruckman so i wouldn't want to recruit players based just on that.

I would still like us to try leverage Aish, Dion or not. We can use Dawes/Howe to generate trade income.
