We are actually winning the tackle count.

Did anyone listen to SEN pre-game tonight? Apparently Moloney spoke about his relationship with Neeld but I missed it.
-
Yep McLardy's a top bloke & a very genuine person but so out of his depth it's not funny.
I'm sure he is a good guy but he acts like an insurance broker who's moonlighting as a footy club president.

You may have also noted in the Channel 9 interview PJ described McLardy as a "goo...great person". Good save mate. Don't worry, we know what you really meant.
-
Good stuff Jacko. Take this club by the balls. God knows someone needs to.
Could not agree more. The spin we've been fed has been dizzying, with Mr President leading the charge.

Why Davis? The guy surely needs a bit of time in the 1sts to see what he's about.

Swan will play.

He was good in under 1/2 a game this weekend as sub. Garlo was good up forward & Frawley's said he'd love a go up forward too. Dunn's pretty physically solid, 192cm 195kg & would be great kicking out after a behind, so I wonder if it wouldn't be worth trying him in defence once for a change, just in case? Has anyone seen him there before?
Can't answer your question but not the worst idea I've heard. For mine his career is in the balance.

I'm hoping that the second half of the year will be huge for Col. Had a crap preseason - car crash, injured then breaks 2 vertebrae in his back. For mine it looks like he is starting to regain some fitness, some touch and a bit of desperation as showed by his pack busting goal. I actually have a bit of faith that he will be good for the rest of the year now
Agreed. Hard to lump him with Moloney as being two big letdowns this year when Colin's had a broken back. I think if Neeld can't get the best out of him then no one will. I'm predicting he plays out his career with us and realises his potential.

Agreed & i thought Beamer looked like a deer in the Headlights sitting there.
It was an interesting dynamic - very student and teacher. BM would mumble something and then look at Neeld for approval. Think BM needs to stop sooking if he's upset at not being coach's favourite any more. I just hope when it's decision time he's bright enough to realise he won't get better opportunities at any other club.
-
What I thought was more interesting was that when we finally crack a win, who does Neeld bring along to the presser? Not the maligned co-captains, not a member of the leadership group, but a player who this year has been dejected, out of form and seemingly odds-on to leave the club at the end of the year. Thought it sent a strong message of unity.

I do
I agree I thought he was/is our most reliable kick in.

Did anyone notice how exhausted Jack Watts looked at different stages of this game. Either he is still not fit enough or he was doing a hell of a lot of running not shown on the broadcast. I suspect the latter. Did any of those at the game notice if this was the case?
I thought David Rhys-Jones described Watts well during the call when he said he always seemed to be "ambling" around the ground. There's simply no sense of urgency about him that's required at AFL level, whether he's on the run or taking a free kick. As I've said earlier, he'll make a good ammo player. With respect KC, I didn't think he was too classy on Saturday and think he needs a few more weeks at this level to prove himself worthy of a game for the Dees at this stage of his career.
-
We MUST be tanking again. There's NO WAY a professional AFL coach would let a game go on like this without making ANY positional or strategical changes.
Then again, if that's the case, sack him. Now.
What are the moves mate? There are no moved to make because they're all crap.

Watts, you're at best a decent ammo player.

He should have been sacked at least six weeks ago. Far too much indulgence from the board.
-
Has a coach ever been sacked or resigned during the 1/2 time break in a game?
Not sure but can't see why he couldn't.
-
I'd love to know what he's going to say to them at half time.
-
I'm still perplexed as to why you would start a first gamer as a sub. Should have got him into the game earlier, give him a chance to show what he's got at this level, which appears might be quite a bit. Another ordinary decision match committee.
-
Isn't it obvious? He's made some poor decisions recruiting and delisting and simply can't get the squad of current players up.
