Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Let's just deal with facts for now rather than individual Utopian views. So let's say it'll be pick 10 and Tyson for Lever and pick 36. Tyson has his knockers about butchering the pill a bit but there's no doubt he's one of our best ball winners in the team. I think Dom has got immense improvement left in him and is a key player type to execute our game plan. Lever looks great and probably deserves our first rounder but not one of our top line mids as well - I wouldn't even give ANB as part of the deal. For all of the posters gushing over Lever there's a few that also recognise he plays in a defence that has an AA defender in Talia and another big bloke in Hartigan and a jet in Laird. I just think you're proposal is way overs mate.

That's quite frankly ridiculous.

Sheez, mate. If this doesn't come off you're going to come down hard.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
From what I can glean from reading all of the AFL related articles on SEN's site, they're a bunch of rumour mongering clowns who will take to print what any ex-AFL club insider (Pelchen, Waldron for example) says as gospel. Chumps.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
So you would think that they'd have some wriggle room in the cap. Why such the low-ball offer? $300K is a huge difference. Crows being shrewd and not placing all their eggs in one basket?

The Importance of Jordan Lewis
His poor ground ball work has definitely been more obvious under the pressure of operating in the D50 - something he probably didn't do too much of it in his Hawthorn days.

The Importance of Jordan Lewis
We're a fickle bunch. Was only a few weeks ago when Jordan milked the 30 shot clock from ANB against the Blues and we all thought the sun shone out his arse. Personally, I think he'll be playing at Casey at some stage next year as our youngsters blossom further - due in part to some of his guidance.

I really enjoy watching this kid play. Goes about it with a tonne of spirit and is pretty bloody handy.

The antics Buddy and Dusty could/would get up to.... the mind boggles.

Our Failure to Crush Teams
We need at least one before seasons end such is the importance of percentage in jostling for the final 8. I would love it to be against North.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Lever is no Dangerfield. If we were to hand over two first rounders I'd be wanting to see one of them turned into another very handy player from another club.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
The admiration for Frost and Omac on the back of some good form is nice and completely warranted. All players have off days though so I hope when they spud it up next we offer them some leeway as they continue to develop. Somehow I can't see that will be the case.

They played the audio of that interview on 360 and I'd put my hard earned on him leaving. Was being far too coy for mine.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
If I was in Frosts boots and was clearly aware of the talk around Lever, I would also put contract talks on hold. Im sure his manager would be talking with other managers and the delay has sound logic behind it.

All Grounds Dimensions - Some surprises
Was it that same wind that helped knock Oliver over? It's all becoming clear now.

All Grounds Dimensions - Some surprises
I think it's about time the AFL started looking at alterations to ground surfaces - particularly to keep pace with the frequency of rule changes. I'd like to see some grounds with a 2m elevation from one to the other. Maybe a hump across the half forward and back lines. Turn another ground into a velodrome type set-up with berms so the faster players can use them to run high and evade tacklers. I also have some thoughts on things such as artificial breezes caused by huge fans at either ends of some grounds which could counter-act some of the one-sided umpiring we regulalry see. Just a few thoughts.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I think the fact that in the article he's mentioned his partner has a fair say in the decision, you wouldn't be silly to think he's odds on to move back to Vic.

If Jake wants to play for Melbourne they'll have suck up whatever we offer/give them.
