  1. Comedy of comic handballs, fumbles and turnovers (Harmes the main culprit there)...thats some of the worst use I have ever ...I was laughing my head off. The tigers didn't pressure that well.....We just fluffed it like amateurs!
  2. Fritschkrieg too slow by hand all night...his goal
  3. No Key Forwards able to impact a contest against the grain apart from a nice contested mark and Goal from the Bull who is more a medium tall forward. Time to go after Cameron pls. Tracc and Harmes virtually zero impact so far!?? For all the Jeffy haters and doubters he has worked his [censored] off and played mutiple roles so far. Decent effort / pressure when we have lost the ball also. Viney everywhere but struggling to break free. Hore playing another solid game. Frosty better in the first than the 2nd but doing ok. Hibb doing a fabulous lock down job on Dusty to this point.
  4. T-mac....one good mark ... one dropped attempt...must have thought he was the forward!
  5. Too many at the coal face again....No one covering the fat side!!!
  6. How many basic turnovers! Great endeavour....worst disposal team in the AFL.... How did we get here?????
  7. Our general field kicking may be the death of us. Clean it up FCS!
  8. No run from behind the ball. One or two too many at the coal face. Need at least one of those coming off the back of the contest for the receive and ideally another forward of the contest (Geelong are brilliant at this in defence). Get it forward by hand and commence overlap and create run
  9. T-mac jeepers! He has to find something in this match or take a spell in the Magoos to get his mojo back
  10. Fritschkrieg team killing turnover.... common mate
  11. Wow T-mac & Weid. Where do you hide these two at the mo!??
  12. Speed and finish out wide.... no old fellas there!!!
  13. Lol Fire....but chaos after....thats what we're better with on the ground
  14. Jones & Mac straight to Tiger players for the goal lol
  15. Low long raking kicks get there quicker and create more chaos. Quick bail out kick if no early options coming inside is ok but at least go long & low so the opp can't intercept as easy and chaos when it hits the deck...
  16. Needs to find some form somewhere why not. T Smith out of the square.
  17. Yes...and a Mr P. Roos somewhere else. We were coming from such a long way back we and importantly, the list/players, needed a 7 year stint (minimum) IMHO to solidify and bed down the new winning culture / methods and work ethic before handing over the reigns. Might have snagged a cheeky one along the way also.
  18. Solid Ranty Ranty. Some major reviews/changes ahead me thinks. Just a matter of when. The depth is a massive concern also. Gathering yard's pretty much barren of high end purebreds. We need some new speedy two way running stock with solid finishing skills pronto, one or two nippy smalls to play forward/back (Lockhart maybe one option down the track) and a genuine KPF (Cameron's up in 2020?).
  19. Clarry is a gun but the clean up suggestion needed. As is the occasional run into space when he gets the opp, assessing very quickly (when time allows) before deciding where / how to deliver. The bail out kick is a must most of the time in today's high pressure footy but just needs to use his power off the mark a little more by foot and finesse when possible with the disposal. That last part also needs some work from Melk & Tracc who were both exposed badly by the opp last week. If we can't handle the tigers match ups here we might need to swap a speedster to play their role and push one of these two onto a wing for a stint where they can more easily defend. Alternatively one of them plays deep taking their speedy opponent out of the picture, try and punish him nearer goal and make him more accountable.
  20. Yup. Wld like to see him spending time between there and HF.
  21. If he isn't he should be Petracc. Played alot of junior footy there and pretty well apparently.
  22. You mean Jeffy? If we get a result like that after stinking it up like that CB I'll be throwing my own private party!
  23. Was our No.1 tackler inside 50 in 2018 so must have done a little chasing / tackling at times. Not saying he couldn't do better but there it is. Jeffy is also our No.1 (non KPF) goal scorer of 2018 from those that remain on our list. A specialist deep forward player that you put there to feed off the crumbs of the Key Talls, clean up and try and score or run into space for the loose ball and score. Emphasis is on making something out of nothing or being where you would expect someone in this role to be in order to finish and kick goals. Chasing down where possible but if you kick the goal there is NO chasing required. You say he is lazy and not chasing his opponent. I'm not saying this doesn't happen at times when he is off. I seem to recall a bit of this also. But what if...his opponent is a reasonably ordinary user of the ball and coach instructs Jeffy to stay at home within a certain distance from goal and not chase outside that area (or if opponent is a fair way off when starting his rebound)...leave that to others to peel off in the zone up field and pressure and conserve energy to - take advantage of potential turnovers for the joe the goose or easy hit ups on a lead? Effectively a plus one up forward on the turnover for the opportunist goal. Unfortunately we really don't have anyone else capable of playing this specialist crumbing / goal kicking role. The closest we had were.... Kent - Was ranked 3rd highest in average goals per game in 2018 just behind T-Mac & Hogan (in that order). Bugg - Ranked 7th Spargo - Ranked 12th. Had moments last year but is now sadly way off AFL level for now for whatever reason...injury / poor form? Hannan - Ranked 5th. Not so much a stay at home specialist around goal playing a fair chunk higher up. Now injured of course. ANB - Ranked 9th - More a run with player / opportunist ...but badly out of form in his 3 matches so far. Hopefully he can find some form tonight. Melk - 6th / Tracc - 10th. More half forwards / pushing into mid. Having said that i think Jeffy (in some decent form) is a perfect foil for Pruess when playing deep in the square. But the old curse has struck again. Will have to wait a little longer.
