  1. Yep got a text from an Essendon mate (biatch please?!), to say it's about time. Interesting how others view your club.
  2. Absolutely no to a washed up, angry senior coach with a chip on their shoulder. Absolutely yes to a new, fresh voice with experience working under a successful coach / at a successful club.
  3. Oh please. You think Kosi thought Goody will be coach for the next 9 years? I really feel like Kosi is given no credit, and fans think he is some helpless, stupid individual. He has set himself and his family up for life and he loves the club for more than just the coach.
  4. Has a sacked coach ever not been furious? I can't imagine anyone has ever been happy about losing their job. But some respect and a farewell game would have been nice. Of course Goody may have said get stuffed I am going to Bali.
  5. Oh look it's media communication manager, president and CEO of Melbourne, Tom Morris. This slimy weasel delivering all the news about the club is wearing thin.
  6. I could whip up a memo in 5 minutes. FFS this is so unacceptable. Why can't this club just get itself sorted. If you decided the coach is getting sacked, you prepare a media release that moment so it's ready to send. Brad Green should have had a draft email ready to go already. How can you disrespect not just a premiership coach, but the players and members like this? Don't we deserve to find out about such important news not from goddamn Tom Morris? I swear make Tom Morris the president at this point, he seems to get more info than anyone else.
  7. Me too. Last home game of the season, and a perfect chance to let Goody coach one last time and get the thanks he deserves. Regardless of whether you believe he needed to go or not, he's earnt the right to a respectful exit.
  8. Melbourne. We have proven premiership players with time to return to their best, and a good mix of youth. You back yourself to get Clarry and Trac back to their best, and go from there.
  9. Whoever is leaking information out of the club to the media needs to be thrown in the bin. And once again this club proves to be the worst communication managers in the AFL. We can't control a narrative to save our lives.
  10. 1000% this. It's now after 10am, the whole world knows, and we still haven't got a media statement from the club regarding this. Total shambles how this club can't control even the most important of information.
  11. Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with the decision, I think we can ALL agree that what Goodwin has brought to our club was immensely positive and he deserves a huge amount of respect. The only premiership coach in my lifetime, and probably in many other supporters' too. I hope the timing is connected to our last home game of the year, and that he at least gets to coach the final match against the Dogs and we can say thanks to him as a supporter base. I for one will always have great respect for what he achieved and 2021 was the greatest joy of my Melbourne supporting life.
  12. Has a great game against a 900 year old and he’s suddenly the messiah. Has not been anywhere near as consistent as Max. If Max doesn’t get his 8th blazer it’s an absolute abomination
  13. They reintroduced hands in the back, and decided to abolish holding the ball. Just another week of Russian roulette umpiring.
  14. Let me be happy about something!
  15. Absolutely. I’m still angry that we subbed him off last week. I didn’t mind trying him at half back, as I can see the logic, but we tried it for too long. He’s clearly a midfielder and his ability to hit the contest at speed is very much something we need. Was also great to see a different midfield mix at every bounce. Not the usual Viney Trac and Clarry. Viney and Clarry had great games, but we are better off when they are feeding the ball to Kosi or Windsor than we are when they are feeding the ball to each other.
  16. Focusing on the young players, because you expect our senior players to feast on the carcass of this pitiful opponent. Culley a great debut. Took the opportunity with both hands literally. Love his height and size. Langford a gun. Windsor a midfielder. What a shock 🙄 Howes had a fantastic game on a quality opponent. Chin and Bowey continued their good season. Kosi is Kosi. A marvel. Pay him more. Disco safe hands down back and reads the play so so well. Overall it was nice to see those guys continue to play well and show glimpses of the future. A real shame we didn’t play Jefferson today, but credit to Petty he was very good.
  17. It’s almost like he’s a midfielder 🙄
  18. He’s played midfield almost exclusively today. Which I love. It’s where he belongs. Howes was fantastic today on Ryan.
  19. Well done Jai. Great debut.
  20. Some horrendous umpiring today for both teams.
  21. At least they don’t have NWM.
  22. It’s easier to work on set shot goal kicking than it is to teach those contested marks he’s taken. I’m no fan of him as a forward but he’s playing very well today.
  23. West Coast fans here getting stuck into Melbourne. Read the room guys, you’re bad too!
  24. West Coast moving the ball much better than us now. They were comically bad in the first quarter but it’s a fairly even game now in terms of quality.
