Aaron vandenBerg not going - signs a new deal!!!
Great news and well done to him. Must have been a very hard choice. Just goes to show the quality of the person he is. Well done Vanders!

Farewell Jesse Hogan
If Hogan ends up staying, he better sign a long term deal. If this is just him going âyeah nah Iâm gonna wait until next year to go to West Coastâ, I would be incredibly [censored]. The worst case scenario is that his foot is stuffed. Such a Melbourne thing to happen.

Are we at 200 yet?

I tried. I canât imagine the truth is worse than what Iâve made up in my own mind from watching his insta stories.

I really hope we can keep him, but understand his position. Must be a terribly tough decision to make. Family always comes first I suppose.

All the money in the world. Still canât buy a win.

This thread is a bigger let down than the Bachelor finale. Wonât someone give me something?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Just landed back in Melbourne. Whatâs new?

Andrew Gaff
Which we all hope ends in the exact same way all their other desperate bids have.

So apparently it is possible to get over home sickness when itâs a 4 hour flight away. Fascinating. Also suck it North.

Farewell Dom Tyson
He is very good depth and we all talk about our inside mids like both Viney and Gus havenât had injury concerns. Who is to say Viney can play 25 games a year? Next year? Maybe ever. With Viney injured, we saw the value of Tyson. If he wants to stay, Iâll be happy to have him on our list. If he wants to go, I hope we get decent compensation for him. He is not a bad player.

Delisting, Trade and FA discussion 2018
Yep. But even if worst case scenario happens, and we replace them with equal amounts of talent (or lack thereof), we have lost absolutely nothing. People talk as if we will go into next year short of players.

Delisting, Trade and FA discussion 2018
Honestly, with the exception of Hogan, has any of the players who have left/are leaving, going to dent our premiership hopes? And if we end up getting a rock solid defender in May, and some outside pace in KK and a backup ruck, does anyone really care if we replace the others who left with more speculative draft picks or discards from other clubs? How will they be any worse than the players we let go, who are clearly not good enough to make it? No point holding onto players who canât crack a game for the sake of limiting list changes. As for Tyson and AVB, we wonât let them go for nothing. We will try to get decent compensation, which will balance them leaving.

Jake Lever Running
I think there would be 0 rush. If it takes 12 it takes 12. I prefer he takes 15 and never does it again. He would probably aim to play round 1, but my guess is we will see him after the bye.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Wouldnât that be so typically Melbourne?! If his foot is cactus, we have just lost our chance of seriously improving our list to win a flag, AND we have lost one of our big talents.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
He refuses to sign a long term deal. No point holding on to something that is never going to happen. The club is right to push him to leave now. Max value, injury an unknown and still contracted. We hold the cards. Time to go.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
Sounds like him and Gus could buddy up. Gus could be a good mentor and give him some advice on the confidence thing. From concussion to 3rd in the Brownlow- the story of the helmeted hero

Farewell Dean Kent
Honestly St Kilda are joking and I hope one day we snatch one of their players for SFA. Which would make sense as pretty much all their players are worth SFA, hence ladder position.

Travis Colyer
I was mortified when we took Milkshake. I was wrong. Goody would know him well. If he costs us little, we have nothing to lose. Experienced player with dash. We need to replenish the list.

Kelly leaving Geelong makes me happy. Suffer in your jokes with your old list, you pricks!

What Makes a De$tination Club?
Spot on. Getting Lever and potentially May this year, when lots of other clubs were/are interested, make us a destination club. Itâs about a player accepting market value salary because they want to play for a club they see future success with. Any club can wave money bags around and eventually land someone. Does not make them a destination club. Players motivated by money over success, are rarely worth chasing anyway. Gaffâs decision is mind boggling to be honest. Vic boy, would be paid well anywhere, just watched his mates win a flag without him. Whatâs the motivation to go to North other than a crapload of cash? Whereas Polec (good ordinary player who landed a friggin lottery check) and Hogan (go home factor), are a totally different story.

Farewell Dom Tyson
Who the feck would voluntarily go to GC? Plenty of Vic clubs who could use him. He really is not a bad player, he just canât play his best position at Melbourne. Will go play inside mid somewhere else and be very good. He could be Carltonâs second best inside mid and free Cripps up a bit.

No pressure to kick any goals at Freo, as itâs not the game plan?
