How can you not see the difference? West Coast and Adelaide had local teams and a well established competition in their relevant states. They immediately picked up a lot of support. West Coast is the richest and one of the best supported clubs in the AFL. Adelaide not far behind. There is no state interest in football in either NSW or QLD. FFS both of these states have recently had serious success, QLD had one of the greatest team in history and yet still nobody cared. The solution to add yet another team that nobody cared about in those states, was purely about TV money for the AFL. You can't tell me that if they established a team in Tassie, it wouldn't have more supporters than both GC and GWS combined in the first season.

It really is sad. The AFL has pumped so much money and so many draft picks into this club (and GC), at the expense of real clubs with real history and real supporters. Now this team is going to play finals, and I bet the Sydney v GWS game will have one of the lowest ever final attendances. I actually felt a little sad for their players yesterday, when they kicked a goal and there was absolute deadly silence at the G. Then I remembered that they're a team made up of number 1 picks and turncoats, and stopped caring.

He's like a puppy. He gets far too excited and far too cocky sometimes, running around frantically then finding himself completely exhausted and unable to make the next contest. I have no doubt that his lack of engine is a big part of why he plays so little midfield minutes. He has good skills and good strengths. I think he isn't the best decision maker and that really hurts, especially when he's trying to hit a target inside 50, and he is not very accountable. He is just really frustrating, and his goal kicking is a massive liability for someone who spends so much time up forward. I think he can absolutely improve and get better, but he needs to do it quickly because eventually the "I'm Petracca pick 2" tickets will run out.

I suppose they didn't pick any real shut down small defenders in the squad anyway, so I don't feel like he missed out to a similar player. They just rate the attacking defenders now it seems.

Yep we got our emails too. Surely you'll be best to buy online, the time it will take outlets to process one customer, is enough for 100 members to get tickets online... lets hope their server is a bit better than the old Demonland server tho

Jetta is again robbed. So many players get in based on reputation alone. Jetta absolutely deserved to make the squad at least. Well done to Clarry, what a star. Also if Gawn is not the starting ruck, it is an abomination. Grundy gets more fluffy disposals, but as a ruckman your primary job is to service your mids. Gawn has more hitouts to advantage than every club in the competition combined, not to mention the first ever ruckman to get to 1000 hitouts in a H&A season.

Always been a big finals player. Excited to see what he has left.

I never lost interest in the season. I just didn’t want to go thru the rollercoaster of emotions of missing finals again so decided to just go with the flow of whatever happens happens and expecting the worst but hoping for the best. Still went to every game. Still planned my next work trip to ensure I’m here for the GF. Still enjoyed the highs and lows of the ball in the hands of Frost.

My god do I hate everything about Geelong. Especially their coach and captain. Nothing would be sweeter than beating the crap out of them in 2 weeks. It’s a dream come true!
