To be fair we lost both Neeld and Roos’ last games as coach. I guess it depends how much the players love Bucks or how unhappy they are with this move. We have a lot more on the line than they do. No excuses. Would anyone be keen to get Bucks in as an assistant? I rate him highly but unsure if he’s suited to not be the main man.

Yeah seriously people thinking we can go to NSW but we can’t go further than 25km in Melbourne. Keep dreaming.

Williams said he has no aspirations to be a senior coach again. He’s much happier to work in development. Yze is a different story. Thanks Buckley for doing this right before our game against you. Selfish ??

Not according to the link I posted above. We definitely need to isolate regardless of where we have been. Only people exempt are those living in border communities.

No apparently we need to do 14 days home quarantine if we’ve been in Melbourne after 27/05. I actually checked earlier today as I thought of going to the game https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/rules/interstate-hotspots#stay-at-home-rules Rules may change if we come out of lockdown Thursday night, but seems doubtful.

They would have had to have left a week ago. We need to do 14 days of home quarantine if we cross the border from Vic to NSW. I would happily go to the game otherwise.

And both were actually good games to watch for neutral fans. Nobody would have picked Melbourne at half time last week, but it was still close enough that people wouldn't turn off. Same with the Dogs game. Great for us, and vindication to the AFL that we deserve more prime time going forward. Having said that, give me Sunday afternoon at the G as long as we can attend live. Anything is better than no footy in Victoria!!!

Langdon will be there by end of the year. Will definitely be in the team of 40.

I think anyone with a small yet persistent niggle may be rested this week. Last chance for a good rest before finals. Just hope it doesn’t cost us the win. We can hardly afford to lose to bottom sided given our draw in the second half of the season.

He was very good in the first half, just as Oliver was very good in the second half. Hipwood with 1 vote is surely taking the absolute p!ss.

Yep Dogs lucky to get away with that win. They looked ordinary. Optus Stadium is a tough ground to play at with a hostile crowd. Brisbane and Richmond still my pick of the bunch for a flag alongside us.

Bontempelli > Freo

Well the difference in this game is Dogs have a handful of absolute stars like Bont. And Freo can’t do anything forward of the Centre. So yeah.

Yeah the guy with the blonde hair. Freo’s kicking inside 50 kills my soul. Every time they go forward I’m screaming at them to be better. It’s sadly not working

Yeah they are not a quick team or a young team. They can afford to move the ball slowly because their tall towards are so good in the air. Freo is so infuriating. They do a lot right and their pressure is excellent. But their ball use going inside 50 is trash. Brayshaw is their best player along with Mundy. No idea what is up with Fyfe. Done nothing.

I take nothing away from their injury list. And Carlton are very ordinary. But I see nothing in West Coast that worries me.

Umpire 22 is still the worst umpire in the game. Just hopeless. Freo applying nice pressure.

Carlton have several injuries too. Credit sure but god they are so dull. Offensive jumper. Offensive song. Offensive supporters. As soon as McKay was subbed out it was game over. Carlton was up to their neck in it until that point. Adjusting your forwardline mid game is very hard. Especially when your key forward goes down.

This game was awful. West Coast are just cruising into the top 8 on the back of playing at Boo Stadium. Will bother absolutely nobody at the MCG. Can’t stand this club.

This game is sooooo dull. I switched over to watch a show about people with OCD. Far more interesting. Looking forward to Freo letting me down as per usual, but will be barracking hard for them.

Minister for Sports today said he has no doubt the grand final will be at the G, and part of the reason we are going hard now is because we know we have major sporting events coming up and we don’t want to lose them. He said just two weeks ago we had 80% footy attendance, and he is not wrong. End of September is a long long way away. Months in fact.

Sparrow or JJ. They don’t have the tank to play 120 minutes, both can play defensive roles and both can hit the scoreboard. Their kicking is probably not as good, but they’ll do better defensively. When Viney is ready he can slot back into the middle and I would play one of JJ or Sparrow at half forward.

Without a doubt he is. He’s our vice captain. However he will surely need some match fitness. How he gets that with no VFL I am not too sure.

Spot on. I would play May on DeGoey and Hibbo on Elliot. Do not mess with the backline. It’s too important for finals. Need to keep the three talls working together every week. Also the improvement in Petty week on week has been amazing. He needs all the game time he can get to build confidence in his game.

Why can other byes be pushed out but ours can’t? We should be trying to save Queens Birthday and Big Freeze from being played in front of 3 people in Sydney. Another week could make a big difference.
