Yeah seriously, what would the point of the move be? He spent years in a rock bottom Melbourne team, experienced success, and now he is walking out to return to the bottom? The likelihood of North winning a flag before he retires are close to zero. It would be a different story if a contender was chasing him, but I can’t see him leaving for an extra year or more money at this point in his career. Not with the strong connections and history he has to our club. He’s not just a bit player, he’s our VC and he’s got a family legacy here.

I have no doubt there are clauses in his contract relating to serious injuries @Binmans PA I don’t think he would want to rehab another ACL, but my god he’s a resilient man. Are you seriously ok? Gawn with 1000 injuries (1000, really?) is the best goddamn ruckman in this game, by a very large margin too. He is currently ranked better than in any other year of his career. That is his choice. Why is he isolating himself from the club? It feels like he’s trying to make the relationship with the club untenable so to force the club to trade him. I hope we hold him to his contract unless we get a deal so good it can’t be refused.
