I agree. However it took me 40 minutes to get to Caulfield. Every damn train line is not running and it takes 20 minutes to get inside the station thanks to Myki. I now have to drive an hour home. So I understand the frustration and why people are staying home.

I think we all need the 10 day break. Players and supporters alike.

He certainly won’t get cheered like Jackson did.

McKay is a very very good player. His goal kicking aside he’s a giant who marks the ball at the highest point. It’s so hard to defend in the air. Tomlinson was fine. He got lost on the lead once but the other contests were just McKay being far too strong in the air. Was hardly disgraced.

Tomlinson was just ok on a very good player, but he freed up Lever which made our backline look 9000 times better. We have to keep another tall down there to make sure he can play his natural intercept game. It’s so critical to how we play.

You’re right the stats were favorable. The ball use especially forward of centre is what was just really hard to watch. I don’t know if we are tired, or got dragged down to their level, but a better side would really hurt us on turnovers. We were lucky they were equally as poor. You take the 4 points and you move on. Because last week I think we were better and we lost, so you gotta take the wins even when they’re ugly.

Same. As it is we struggle to keep the ball inside our attacking 50. Smith is a lot more athletic and able to give us better coverage at ground level. Tmac and BB missing is not why we are playing this poorly.

It’s less about the score and more about the quality on display. It’s really ugly to watch. We are a lot better than this. I hope.

This is really a very low quality game. The unforced errors are leading me to believe we are tired from loading…😂

Except of course McKay. As I said all week, he won’t miss today. It’s beyond me how this only happens to Melbourne.
