  1. Betts, Gartlett, Waite all traded away by Carlton in last year or two. I'm not the one who should be embarrassed, but the Blues for trading such talent cheap, and you for then claiming "if Carlton... are happy to trade away a key forward who played senior football this year then that should be a HUGE red flag. If the Blues don't want him then we don't need him either.". Not convinced on Casabolt, but most forwards the Blues have traded out have been gold for the lucky clubs who got them.
  2. If indeed this comes into fruition with only the loss of Cross and Howe,we are looking a lot better in the middle (i'd add Watts, Salem, Garlett and Kent as cameos to the midfield mix), we shall be a better team in 2016. Now to solve the second tall forward riddle Dawes/Pedersen/Frost/???
  3. Would love it that you're right Mach! The salt that would provide for those bomber wounds... would be such fun. Looking at Milkshakes highlights, he can extract the ball and belt it long which would have Hogan salivating...
  4. Assuming we have a choice between Dion and Jaeger, who'd we pick?
  5. I hope they leave it as is, as we're only a season or three off being a destination club ourselves, and we'll then go from prey to predator... Bring it on!
  6. So is Dion worth Howe and pick 6? and why would GC be prepared to part with him, if so? Curious, not seen him play much, just highlights...
  7. So you spent a fair bit of time going backwards?
  8. Head injury 2 weeks + franchise player injured 1 week = 3 weeks. If not more now.
  9. It occurs to me that Jack Viney is a big asset off the field and would be focused and aligned with the club in supporting (Petracca) and connecting with prospective recruits (McStay). His intention (and others I.e. Brayshaw) to make this club great, will assist greatly in the journey to make it great.
  10. Garlett has been a great pick up, his burst speed is ideal for quick entries into a vacant forward line, his agility off packs and snapping ability, plus the boy is solid one on one... Love him!
  11. Freo have to roll the dice. Their window is closing.
  12. Jetta seems consciously kicking within his limitations. Low risk but also low gain at times. I.e. he rarely stabs one 50 m into the corridor. But as Clint once said "A man's gotta know his limitations"
  13. Interesting timing to the Hogan extension discussion from the MFC, its as if they are purposefully indicating Hogans extended tenure to help attract and entice other prospective players to come to the MFC... Wonder who they are?
  14. Ugly stuff. Thanks for your commitment Col! Look forward to the next three years.
  15. “I was watching the game and people said ‘wouldn’t you love success?’ and I said ‘it wouldn’t mean anything to me unless it was with Melbourne’. Legend!
  16. Agree, the list at Tigerland looks average, but I'm not that familiar with whos who and we'd be looking at a Mid to replace a mid...
  17. Richmond are in an interesting space for us. They think they're close to being a contender and will therefore sacrifice high picks for ready made players that fill their perceived weaknesses. So maybe there's an opportunity for us with Tyson to Tigers... They have picks 12, 31, 49... and players? what would be acceptable for Dom?
  18. If we improve on last years haul we'll be doing bloody fantastically! Land another - Garlett, Vandenburg, Frost, Brayshaw, Stretch, etc... and we will advance.
  19. I wonder when the Demons won three in a row (twice) if other clubs supporters were whining about "equalisation"? Pre-internet, probably spoke about at the pub. It's all about the build. Feels like we're starting to put the ingredients together to have another tilt at the top in a couple of years time...
  20. Hey mo, hardly trite given you then back up what I'm saying. With a "physically washed up... contributes little" player playing at CHF for the MFC, will we get to a GF? (that was rhetorical btw) But the answer is "NO" so my statement was spot on Einstein.
  21. There are several players that will NEVER play in the MFC's next Grand final team, Dawes is one of them. Given that, what point then does it serve to keep him?
  22. An alternative explanation for his behaviour is that he's done a deal with a club, and they've said to him... "Harley, stink it up a bit so we only have to give GC pick 43 and a box of kleenex! Cheers Mate! Look forward to your coming on board. ;) ;)". Similar to Darling getting to West Coast...
