If we can get that squad all playing their best in the month leading up to the finals we should go very deep and have a good chance of knocking off GWS. Time and the fickle gods of footy will tell.

How bizzare is it that our player gets clipped in the chin with an elbow during a break in the game and he (we) have to worry about being cited by the AFL... WTF! F the AFL and F Westcoast. Should be at least two weeks - intentional, high, low impact.

Salem will continue blossom into an A-grade player over the next season or two, if his health holds. We're building something very special.

All Commonwealth / Cricket playing countries have ovals available in Winter. Maybe the AFL geniuses should start with them? They also have a sporting link to Oz via cricket... etc. If the AFL were to offer $500,000 prize money plus low level club support for winners of a domestic AFL footy comp in each of the current Cricket playing nations (i.e. NZ, SA, India, Packistan, England, Ireland, etc...). Perhaps then the premier clubs or the all-star teams of each nation could then come to Australia in September and play a multi-national competition around the final series. But no, let's reinvent the wheel...

Over paid executives trying to justify their inordinate salaries. They should focus on improving the match day experience for attending supporters, growing womens footy, and seeding the game into new territories (countries) with a long term plan.

With the evenness of this season each week is of significance, a loss has you tumble far and win inches you closer to September. Only two of our games for the remainder of the season are with teams now out of contention (Lions and North) and North stitched us up last time we played them. Imperative we keep winning, to keep the pack at our back. Ladder pressure within this season will help.

And... while I know this is frowned upon by some here... if we're comfortably up with 10 to go, a rousing rendition of "a grand old flag" could be appropriate..?

I'm not defending him. Irrespective of his intention (to bait etc...) your reaction is yours, nothing actually to do with him, just your decision to be righteous or indignant... Good entertainment I guess, but lets not get delusional.
