What's wrong with him? Haven't heard anything about his injury at all...I figured he'd just fallen into the abyss somewhere between Casey and Gosch's.

It was a very exciting game. I was there sitting next to Larry Tanenbaum, who seems very optimistic about the future. I'm not sure I'll be as optimistic as him until I see how well this drafting strategy plays out in the summer and early next season.

He played really well when he was able to get on the park. Unfortunately backing out of the final year of his lucrative contract after the club supported him through his injury issues (which saw him only manage 15 games in three seasons) has ruined the goodwill that he gained from his performances in the red and blue. I'm glad that this guy is no longer on our list, as it seems to be the same story every year.

Absolutely agree. The #PedoMyths posts have definitely slowed down recently.

I need to see more of him to form an opinion.

Nasher, it seems that you've fallen victim to watching Fox Footy with the volume turned on. "The Package" is Jake Stringer, I believe. I don't mind the occasional nickname being thrown up, but it makes things bloody confusing when they never refer to certain players by their actual names.

Yeah, wasn't thrilled with the return for Reimer. Parenteau didn't find a suitor so he'll be around until the end of the season. Nylander, Kapanen and Hyman to debut tonight against Tampa Bay. Can't see the Leafs winning more than 5 games for the rest of the season. Exciting times....

I reckon he's in our top 10, possibly top 5 most important players. We can't afford to lose him, and at this stage I'm confident we won't.

While I did notice this as well, I was impressed at how improved many of our players were in their ability to get their arms free in tackles to dish off handballs. Salem and Kennedy did this perfectly on several occasions.

I was reasonably impressed with him in the first half, but much like the rest of his team, he did very little thereafter.

It was a Good win.

Was very impressed with Kennedy's game today, particularly his second half. He was hard at the ball, able to keep his feet and had relatively tidy skills. I think he'll be in the squad for round one.

I just read this thread from beginning to end, and it's fantastic. It has ups, downs, twists, anger, humour and a very satisfying ending...where can I buy the movie rights?

This'll be the big thing I'll be looking for this year. Consistently competitive 4 quarter efforts will make me happy, regardless of the result. If the players are trying for 100% of every game, the wins will come.
