Who says we didn't tempt the player?
Good point, I am sure the offers we allegedly made to a number of high profile players would have been seriously considered by the player, but unfortunately couldn't get all the ducks in line...

Gladly to consider next time however all flights and transfers are in place and confirmed!
Ah shame, especially given none of the other Australians living over here seem to have any interest in AFL, let alone time to indulge in pre-season rumours on Demonland...
-
East Africa not West Africa thankfully!
You should come and have a drink with me in Addis Ababa before you leave!

While I severely doubt there is any likelihood of Kennedy being traded out, its not out of the question that one of Sydney's younger mids could be shaken out. I also can't help but wonder if the AFL's move to prevent them from trading in players was done to try to force them to trade out a player in exchange for picks to a lowly club like us?

Hey guys,
I'm a long time supporter but first time writer. I just joined because I figured that this info is something you guys would love to hear.
I can't reveal my identity but I am good mates with Kieran Jack. We have been friends for years and played league together for Balmain Juniors back in the day (Probably about 10 years ago now.. can't believe its been that long!)
Jacksy told me a couple of hours ago that JPK is set to leave Sydney as he's been offered a huge contract by the dees (850K+) and sydney can't match anywhere close to the offer because of buddy and tippet in the salary cap.
WHAT A RECRUIT FOR THE DEES! THE VERY TYPE OF STRONG MID WE NEED!!!
You figured after 5 hours and 14 pages of speculation about this very same rumour that we would love to hear this... ???!!!!

A deal is all but done, all will be revealed at 2:30pm tomorrow
I thought it was 3pm?

Nice words WJ. Think you are spot on.

Think you need to setup a poll so we can vote...

I hadn't heard anything for nearly a week and thought this dead. hearing now things looking very positive.
for those scoring at home, same source that gave me Clark, Roos and Bartlett.
im very confident tonight.
Does this contradict what JJH said he heard about us pursuing Beams in the Trengove to Richmond thread?

According to article on AFL its coming from Richmond not us:

Feel like it could be a watershed moment for the club: do we reward a players loyalty or embrace the new era of free agency (and faux free agency)?

Is this part of a scheme to purge ourselves of the Prendergast curse?

I prefer this one which better reflects the actual size of the continents:

Interview with the great man
While not the most inspiring interview of all time I though it was quite a refreshing to have a player who hasn't been trained to churn out the same old lines. Also like the fact he said when he's enjoying his footy he plays his best, which I think fits nicely with the coaching approach of Roos.

what does this mean for JKH?

Expect to hear from Danger by Monday!
Care to give any hints on your source?
-
With Collingwood missing out on Clark perhaps he might become part of the Beams deal?
-
I am still disappointed. For all his apparent lack of endeavour this year he is one of the few draftees the Dees have managed to successfully develop into a genuine key position player.

With Clark off to Geelong and Frawley not far behind can't help but think of this:

That's what is throwing me. He was training under our supervision. That would not have happened there was an incident the sort some are alluding to.
I am more of the view that this blew up only recently. He was made to feel unwelcome and has looked around.
That would perhaps also explain Viney's comments a week or so back when he told a poster here that we still want Clark but its complicated...
-
I'd be rapt to get him. Perhaps the upside of someone with a strong moral code is that he can see the righteousness of Roos and where we are going. Oh and the fact 'the Demons were believed to have offered superior financial terms.'
But seriously, a vote of confidence and he is a good player who can carry the ball forward. As if we are in a position to knock that. Will be the only player in the side who has been selected in an AA team. Durable too.Jamar says hello...
