So was I wyl. However I seriously wonder if there will ever be another chance. My club is probably in the worse shape it has been in for 70 years. We are shambles on the field and if that continues for too many more years we will be consigned to the same part of the history books as University, South Melbourne and Fitzroy. End of story

There are a very large number of days wyl when I would be happy to ignore the samantics of that statement. Right now the "melbourne Hawks" looks fine. I also know a number of Fitzroy supporters who really enjoyed those weekends

Well my eye sight must be worse than I thought WYL They look the same to me. However I have only memory to compare as I sent last years back advising them I only wear red and blue not maroon and blue. My wife things I am nuts and she may well be correct. Mate are we talking about the same scarf? Mine is Maroon not red it is the same colour as this years jumper. Not like the 2010 version which I am still wearing.

Your last line is my big concern, I fear that the MFC is at the cross roads over the next 3 - 4 years IMO anything less than winning the 70% of our matches by 2015 we see the MFC become an irrelevance in the AFL. We are not imune to being amalgamated with the GWS by the end of this decade if we keep on the way we have over the last 5 years. A decade of failure we be the end of us.

I agree BB, it grieves me to say it but Carlton are bigger news than the Dees. If they lose badly tonight the MFC will struggle to get a line on any subject tomorrow in the HUN. Feel sorry for Ratten but there is sure to be a headline in the next few days like "Commitee tells Ratten he has their full confidence?"

I know a number of supporters of Hawthorn, Essendon, Carlton and Collingwood quite well Redleg and while "disgusting" might be out of place, the majority think we are "pathetic" most of them temper this in my presence with Pity. But the general opinion is we belong to last century, are not relevent to the AFL in 2012 and believe one day ( maybe 5 - 10 years time ) we will be amalgamated with GWS or GCS when we go belly up. Which they see as inevitable. Now as Dees supporters we might object violently but I believe that the Majority of other teams supporters have a similar view. IMO only greatly improved performance on field over the next 3 years will change their view.

Had a great day at the footy today Just got home Uni Blacks got up again by 6 goals ( beat the last team today ) still undefeated. Picked up by a couple of mates so no need to drive. Don't think the cork will come out of single malt tonight, already a few too many MB's I had forgotten what it feels like going to a game expecting to win. Bloody marvilous! Now the pain starts I guess but at least I can turn off the Tele if it gets too bad. Need to stay nice from here on, 7.00 AM GD minding duty tomorrow morning. Go Dees

Went to watch Uni Blues on saturday. Had a great afternoon ( remember when all tha games were Saturday afternoon ) they won the game. Then came saturday night, not a surprise really but I was surprised the game was over at the 15 minute mark of the first quarter. Yesterday I was washing my car before attending a friends birthday party in the afternoon. And I did something I have never done in my 52 years of suppoting the Dees. I peeled off my "demons Sticker" I am too brittle to take the derision associated with being a dees supporter now. It did not help of course that a large number of them were Tiger fans. Just shows how low have I sunk? And I have every confidence worse is to come before 2012 is over.
