Nice to have you aboard Chelly But there is something you need to know. That person you mention ( not J Viney ) is not to be mentioned on this thread. It is a ------ free zone.

My problem Redleg is I find myself yelling at the screen. Along the lines of " you -u----- idiot." Best I try and stay away.

I think your memory is failing bb Seem to remember great excitment after 2010 season and drafting. Then again last year after Neeld was appointed. Both ended in disaster. Now I will admit this year does look way better than this time last year because we are changing some of the cattle this year. So I hope 2013 shows a small amount of improvement. Fine with me CB I took interest in him this year read all the reviews of GCS games saw him twice on TV and watched him at the G vs the Dees. I struggle with what all the fuss is about. looks a ordinary player on his good days to me. Happy he does not want to come to the Dees. The feeling is mutual.

The up side is you cannot put "credibility" in the bank. I think his clients would be very happy with their bank balances and in the example of Tippet only Crows supporters are unhappy. Sounds like an all round win to me.

And a long slug of bundaberg!

We are about 13% of the way through the trading period and it is already the greatest sop opera in AFL history. Rumours, half truths, lies and made up stories. God what is this going to be like in two weeks time. My head hurts Think I will go lie down now.

I think I am in the same nightmare. It will probably end up being 20% of the above. But what the hell would I know!
  16. old dee replied to Redleg's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
You are right the trading period is 7 hours old and there must be a thousand remours already. 99% of which probably have no basis in fact. Everyone is guessing. Oh dear I think I will leave the country for a three week break

Not till tomorrow for me bb. However do you realise we have not last a game yet in the new season!

Funnily enough Redleg I have been saying this for at least the last year and I quite often get howled down (not by you I might add). If you look at Wellingham, if he is going to leave the pies why would you go to the MFC? WCE offers a side that will play finals and has GF potential versus joining the MFC who will lose more than they win for at least the next two years. Lynch is a player with a couple of years left. Pies offer a flag chance and at the MFC you would grind out your final couple of years with only a few wins to your credit. Caddy I do not rate so I don't care where he goes. It will be very interesting to see how the next three weeks pan out but I doubt we will make any big recruitments like Clark this year. But who knows I did not think we would get Clark last year. I think any seasoned players we may pick will not be the higher profile players, we may get a couple of players that are early 20's who are not getting a game at the there current club. We may just have to hope there is considerable improvement from current list in 2013. Seeing as how I think a large part of it is ordinary it looks like an ordinary 2013 to me. Once again the sad part is October to February will once again be the best part of our football year.

I never really expected him too leave The embarrassment would have been to much for Eddie and company to endure. Now all he has to do is earn it. Pressure mounts very quickly if you get paid big Monte Carlo's and play like a teddy bear. Not sure how the Pies are going to pay everyone in 2013 and beyond.

I estimate there are a couple of dozen on Land H_T as an example Hardnut is convinced all our troubles have been the coach.

Very good point and are very unlikely to pay the payroll tax in 2013 bb Perhaps 2014?
  22. old dee replied to Redleg's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Don't agee bb there are a couple of thousand that think we are going along well and we are all a bunch of pessimists because in 2010 we won 8 games.
  23. old dee replied to Redleg's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
My feeling exactly Redleg as bb said it is very sad that the best time of the football year for us is between October and February. I don't think you are Robinson Crusoe I think there are thousands of us who feel the same.
