Cloke and Collingwood - to part or not to part?
old dee replied to Satan's topic in Melbourne Demons
Not sure I would Roost it just I little old, pretty sure everyone would twigg I was well past it. -
1000% correct DC

I know a number of supporters of Hawthorn, Essendon, Carlton and Collingwood quite well Redleg and while "disgusting" might be out of place, the majority think we are "pathetic" most of them temper this in my presence with Pity. But the general opinion is we belong to last century, are not relevent to the AFL in 2012 and believe one day ( maybe 5 - 10 years time ) we will be amalgamated with GWS or GCS when we go belly up. Which they see as inevitable. Now as Dees supporters we might object violently but I believe that the Majority of other teams supporters have a similar view. IMO only greatly improved performance on field over the next 3 years will change their view.

Careful there WJ I am sure a couple of the other 47 are clever enough!

Cloke and Collingwood - to part or not to part?
old dee replied to Satan's topic in Melbourne Demons
I have never blamed Daniher he had a team that made a GF, wisdom at the time was he just needed a couple of top up players and we could pull off a GF win. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. But you are probably correct. -
Lets no over analysis this, Moloney will stay or go based on the offers that are around. I may be over generous to him but I think he would like to stay at the MFC Provided there is not a lot large offer from somone else in Victoria. His performances between now and the end of the year will settle the matter.

Agree DemonWA how long have they been gone? 4 years? Don't seem to be setting the world on fire how long can they blame them for their problems. -

The Significance of the win against Bombers
old dee replied to demon-4-life's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agree DemonWA It frustrates me the way some Dees fans say North should pack up and move north or disband. We are not too far away from being in the same position. Give the poor buggers a break -
Agree hardtack In the first six games he was one of about 5 who earned his spot every week.

You have my vote Redleg Not that it is worth much as I am confident the FD does not seek it.

The Significance of the win against Bombers

No and it is a little early. This is one of those subjects DemonWa that people never change their minds about. I am like Terry Wallace You either win or lose. Honourable losses make me throw up. That is my last word on the subject until someone says we had an "honourable Loss" -

The Significance of the win against Bombers
old dee replied to demon-4-life's topic in Melbourne Demons
To I remember well the heated discussions about this subject in 2010. Back then I used to say that the only way that the MFC will become a power is when everyone connected to the MFC To Forget this honourable loss crap. I never see it mention by other team supporters I thought it back in 2010 and IMO nothing has changed. I am happy if peope talk about improved performances or whatever. If we get beaten on Monday by 4 goals we will have improved on last year and recent efforts against the better sides. But if you lose you lose simple as that. -
Now you may be baiting me DC But the Dees silver one of a few years back takes the cake for me. However I have no doubt forgotten some. PS My desire is to fix the red in our traditional jumper. Sorry that should read get rid of the maroon and bring back the red.
