  1. I remember Peter Bell as a good footballer who had a long career? At one time had to travel a lot to play/train I believe. Hall of fame? Not so sure.
  2. The Alpacas are going ok Mable - the barn is centrally heated. In fact I flaked out there after last night's culinary disaster ( and a further bottle of shiraz). Can't chat as I'm currently trying to recover my reputation for producing culinary delights. Might be my last chance with the squeeze.
  3. I'm sure everyone will be pleased to learn that my irritating fungal infection is clearing up nicely.
  4. I'm venting! What a disaster of a night. Wanted to impress the squeeze tonight with a special dinner. Well FMD. First the young lady I'd employed to help for the night walked out and left me high and dry. Silly really. I had a bit of a slip and had to grab something to save myself- I'm sure all reasonable people will understand - well anyway, I'll let the courts sort that out. Then I thought all was going along swimmingly with my own chefing until ... Well Romsey Manor has a gourmet kitchen - including one of those fancy double ovens .... but somehow the system failed me! The temperatures were the wrong way around!!! FMD!!! Then the neighbour arrived making accusations and everything went to shite. Perhaps Earl Hood can advise me but being of a higher social order can be difficult.
  5. How could such a great boxer say that I wonder?
  6. Geez haven't seen Lemon Drops for years. Different brand though.
  7. I had an optimistic spurt as it were early in the season but alas, and sadly, the mighty dees have given me another kicking. I'm not confident about any games at the moment.
  8. Use your imagination Ethan. There a number of scenarios where this has could happen.
  9. Silly mistake Moon! That's Jizza you're talking about! Gumboots, cow shite and terrified heifers!
  10. Possibly the silliest post of the year (decade). FMD is this why we have technology?
  11. I will always be "the gentleman from Romsey" - such things are a birthright after all all. However, you are correct, It seems that the ladies have worked me out. Classy dames such as Mable ignore me and Biff's slags demand inordinate amounts of money for displays of affection. The "lads" do remain reliable.
  12. That's funny OD. Biff has a (stolen) tweed jacket which he thinks gives him some class/status. You have mentioned "genteel" which is exactly what the tweed jacket means.to him.. He is all yours!!
  13. Can't argue with that. I have a problem though. Biffen got wind that I was going and is trying to get a free ticket. Could you invite him to your sister's winery so that I don't get stuck with the freeloading bas tard?
  14. Well i have to be honest. I think you are one seriously [censored] up individual dc.
  15. Smart move Mable. There are some real dic k heads on this site and you are wise ( and a woman of discernment ) to avoid them.
  16. aahh Biff! There is no competition you are the cleverest writer on this site. FMD That is a gem
  17. Depends where you buy them OD. Any banana purchased at an Asian market is better (sadly) than anything you will buy in oz.
  18. I want you to go easy on Stu 'frag. Let him continue the belief that he is an intellectual - he is quite fragile and may not post again for months if he is hurt.
