  1. You're kidding yourself Stu. Your lack of class will be exposed early and you'll get the arse out of the corporate seats fairly quickly!!
  2. Yep Uncle Bitter had the inside on this. Spoke to him outside the Jim Stynes bar pre the Richmond game. The really exciting aspect was his comment that " I want to be a part of this". It seems the club has turned around and the players are on board for the journey.
  3. Now I reckon only Oliver will join Petracca. Brayshaw is one likely out but the other ..... no idea unless there is an as yet undisclosed injury.
  4. It was a different world then Stu. You would actually " step outside". However, in retrospect we were dick heads!
  5. Yes correct SWYL and he did exactly that!! And apparently Jack replied and cleared the air.
  6. I don't condone violence. ( Unless it's a jolly good flogging) . However, there has been a fair amount of bull shite over this issue. Rance did a stupid act. He apologized, admitted it was stupid and didn't want young players to follow his example. He copped two weeks for this. End of story IMO. I still cant get over that [censored] that Merrett did to Pedo a couple of years ago and got away with. When I played suburban/country footy getting " a whack behind the ear:" was standard practice. I remember one occasion when the coach instructed me to " give one " to an oppo player who was killing us. I duly followed his instructions at the first opportunity and received a quick 15 back.. The bastard was a TV ringside boxer!! A bit after that I worked as a barman/bouncer at a Port Melbourne and a Richmond pub. Copped a few. One night a bloke hit a fellow barman with a stool and the jumped the the bar to finish him. I grabbed a big cordial bottle and hit the [censored] between the eyes. That was in Port Melbourne. I [censored] of immediately and never went back to collect my pay.; As I said, you do stupid things.
  7. I think you'll find Jake Spencer will have his first game back - and likely opposed to Mark Jamar!
  8. I imagine it will be an apology. He always seemed a fair sort of a player from what I saw of him. It's easy to do something stupid that you sincerely regret later. It will be interesting.
  9. Usually I would totally disregard anything you had to say picket. However, I did catch part of a review of this film while listening to the radio. It seemed to have enough peculiarities to be worth a look. Biffen knows something of pawnshops as he cashed both his mother and poor old grannie's wedding rings at one.
  10. Jones seems destined to become our games record holder and a legend of the club.
  11. Agreed OD! We are long overdue to inflict some pain on them. Sadly we will have to venture to Darklands to watch it.
  12. Brayshaw is down on form and confidence and him being rested for Oliver wouldn't surprise me Petracca is the wildcard here ! Do we want to debut him this week?
  13. I was a little too "tired" to post last night but here' s my view from the good seats Max Gawn. Simply a colossus Viney. As usual a powerhouse in and around the contested ball Garlett. Kicked 4 and had a hand in another 4. A key member of the team. T Mac. Strong marking and provided a real barrier in defence Vince Classy always and a good finisher. Also provides a bit of mongrel Tyson's more even effort just pips JW for my final vote
  14. A reasonable assumption Mable, however I can assure you Biffen would not do such a thing. I have had the"pleasure" of Biffen's company on a number of occasions . He usually just snots on the floor but if it's more formal he uses his sleeve.
  15. I'm enlisting you as my official advisor on matters football OD. I'm already feeling confident about next week's game!
  16. Yes picket I noticed you getting a jolly good thrashing from a number of posters. I must say I enjoyed it immensely and considered it totally justified. Now as to some sort of panacea for your ills. If you were a fellow of sensibility and style there are any number of fine wines I could recommend. However, associating you with a cultured palate( or cultured anything for that matter) brings to mind the old biblical saying about "casting pearls before swine". Therefore I suggest you go out and buy the cheapest and nastiest "fourpenny dark" you can find and slurp down the contents. You can then beat yourself about the head with the empty bottle until you lapse into unconsciousness. PS. if you need advice on cheap and nasty wines contact Biffen. He drinks nothing else.
  17. Well done dazzle, I read it over breakfast and was waiting for someone to post the link. Nathan comes across as very honest and his love for the club is evident. Some posters question his leadership but from the article it seems he is constantly aiming to grow in this area.
  18. Well ok but make sure he does not sneak any Collingwood paraphernalia into the ground ie socks, jocks, black and white hanky.
  19. 'luded is my favourite poster. I miss his intellectual insight. He should be reinstated immediately to bring some sanity back to this site.
