  1. Is that the ...err .. object .... you keep in your bedroom Moon?
  2. Weid out Watts in Petracca ? A rest might just sharpen him up. Jeffy is forgiven this week but needs to fire up against Brisbane.
  3. I thought Weid played the role of decoy forward quite well od!!
  4. Weid was a number today - that's about all. I reckon he will make it but he has a lot to learn. How to hold his position in a contest and where to lead/ place himself are two obvious ones. Composure will also come with experience. Watts back next week for mine.
  5. Spot on deever! Pedo has about 10% of Watt's ability Watt's has about 10% of Pedo's determination/heart.
  6. Correct Fire!! I'll be barracking for them ...... then I'll give myself a sound flogging later.
  7. Disagree Clint. There were a number of times when a strong marking forward was lacking. He would have put the icing on the cake.
  8. Jones - Captain's game Pedo - Best game for the club - did a bit of everything Harmes - matchwinner Lewis - Smart game. Clarrie - Did the hard work as usual Brayshaw - What a comeback. Cherry ripe for the finals
  9. ITS A GRAND OLD FLAG!!! Start lining up for finals tickets folks And ...... Pedo is back!!!
  10. Though my natural and underlying bitterness is always festering away, I must say I do feel very OPTIMISTIC about today's result. Dees by 30.
  11. You miss the point Febes! The notion of rating Captains is ridiculous. I'm sure we could find an image of any captain appearing , down, elated, depressed exulted etc. Captains suffer or excel with their teams. Jones has had more reasons than most to be despondent yet week after week he continues to bust a gut. He is a bloke who you'd reckon deserved a "rest" occasionally yet he put together a string of 120 plus games before succumbing to an injury. He may not be a great verbal communicator but when it comes to leading by example, I'll back him against anyone. In leadership, actions count
  12. I used to do Van Huddles .................. well not actually huddles.... when I borrowed my dad's panel van. It all turned to [censored] though when I got [censored] and pranged it. Arrh the (wonderful) folly of youth.
  13. Now that's a bit cynical od. Time for a relaxing pinot.
  14. I thought he'd spend the rest of this year at Casey od. However, circumstances have changed. I reckon he'll be a player but ............... tomorrow will be interesting
  15. Fair enough deever. It's just that I'm a bit sensitive of any criticism of Jones. As far as I'm concerned he's carried this club for years and is beyond reproach.
  16. No, I can't have this. Jones often gets this "butchered the ball" criticism. However, two factors need be considered. One he has usually ohas the ball in pressured circumstances. Two he is always prepared to take the game on. His turnovers ( yes he is guilty on occasion) come as a result of either trying to create an opportunity or being too quick thinking for his teammates.
  17. An oddly sexist comment Wise!! But ...as I'm oddly sexist you are forgiven. However, as penance, go and give yourself a jolly good thrashing.
